Hardship Fund
Doula UK has a budget to cover expenses incurred by doulas who work for clients in their local community, who do not have the means to employ a doula. This might be because the family’s only income is from State benefits.
If you would like assistance from a birth or postnatal doula and feel you may be eligible to access this Fund, please get in touch with our Hardship Fund administrator, Sallie Shelley: 020 8979 6432 or 07904 362847 or email sallie@thameside-doula.co.uk and she will be able to assist you with any queries you may have and help you to find a doula that is willing to donate her time. Many doulas donate money to this Fund when they can. Clients who have appreciated the doula support they have received and would like to help others to have a similar service also donate to the Hardship Fund and their contributions are always gratefully received. If you would like to make a donation please send a cheque payable to ‘Doula UK’ with your name, address and telephone number clearly written on the reverse or on the enclosed documentation to: Doula UK Ltd, PO Box 26678, London N14 4WB Please ensure that you write that your donation is specifically for the ‘Hardship Fund’ so that it will not get included with general running costs income.
