A Doula UK workshop
The day is for mentored or newly recognised doulas and will focus on the practical aspects of working as a doula.
- Debriefing experiences – professional and personal
- Relating to medical staff and challenging situations
- Looking after yourself and the doula’s own agenda
- 'On-call', working and family life
- Interviews, listening and communicating
- Antenatal, birth and postnatal working – as appropriate to the group
- DUK Philosophy, Code of Conduct and Recognition Process
- Contracts/visits
- Fees
- Business matters – being self-employed, insurance and marketing
Participants' input on topics for inclusion will be welcomed in advance of the day
Cost for the day is £40
