Doula UK has two vacancies for the following paid roles. Each position will be offered on a 6 month fixed term contract. Both roles will be part time, working days and competitive rates of pay TBC.
Fundraising, Communications & Marketing Assistant – up to 18 hours
This post offers a varied and dynamic opportunity for someone who has excellent communication skills. You will be the first point of contact for enquiries from the media and external partners, as well as helping to develop and deliver a marketing strategy for new and existing members and prospective clients. You will be responsible for researching new funding opportunities, assist on key membership and networking events and have the opportunity to gain project management experience. You will provide some administrative support across the full breadth of the Leadership Team contributing towards team objectives and manage the recruitment for key volunteers.
Business & Operations Support Assistant – up to 18 hours
This position offers a rewarding and exciting opportunity for someone with excellent administrative skills to strengthen our organisational effectiveness through giving procedural support to the Leadership Team. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who has experience of and a passion for quality in administration. You will be responsible for the day to day duties of a virtual organisation, helping to develop and maintain a robust set of procedures to ensure a consistent level of service to our members. You will be an Executive Assistant to the board of Directors, offering a professional and resourceful line of support, managing a team calendar, facilitating meetings and maintaining the membership database.
Both roles offer remote working arrangements. Successful applicants must be self-motivated and able to manage and report their working hours effectively. It will be necessary to travel to Leadership Team meetings held periodically (usually in London) as well as occasional attendance at events and conferences where required.
