Why a Doula? Simply put, I am very passionate about helping people and pregnancy, birth and beyond absolutely fascinates me.
Before beginning my own journey into motherhood I worked as a Maternity Support Worker where I specialised in Breast Feeding support. I especially loved visits to new parents where one or both of them just needed an ear, someone to listen to them, acknowledge their birthing journey, their feelings and their struggles. If you feel you need support in this way I am here to listen to you.
I have recently graduated from the Doula UK approved Developing Doulas Course. Moving forward I am taking part in a Twins Workshop and am working through an online course gaining knowledge regarding infant loss and supporting families after loss.
I am passionate about helping birthing people to achieve the birth they desire, but also to help deal with their feelings and emotions if their birth does not follow their plan A. I would love to help you plan for your babys arrival, so wether it’s discussing and making a birth plan, helping to pack your hospital bags, planning a home birth or even helping to set up baby’s nursery get in touch and see if I am the Doula for you.
I have personally experienced breast feeding and the problems you may face. I mixed fed my daughter, and then went on to breast feed my son for 3 years after troubling starts with both so I can empathise with the emotional struggles that may come with breast feeding.
I am here to help you through your post natal journey whether it is guiding you through position and attachment when breast feeding, having a tidy up while you sit and enjoy your baby, looking after baby while you nap or shower or if you just need someone to talk too.
I also have experience of baby wearing
I look forward to hearing from any potential clients so please get in tough via text, phone call or email.
