I can cover all West, North West and South West areas of London and also Middlesex and Surrey counties.
I am a fully qualified clinical hypnotherapist and HypnoBirthing practitioner.
My name is Alex Heath and I had 2 wonderful and empowering home births for my lovely son (10 years ago) and gorgeous daughter (5 years ago). I loved both births and at the time I attributed alot of that success to being in my own home and using hypnosis. So much so that after the birth of my son it inspired me to re-train as a hypnotherapist and specialise in fertility and birth hypnosis.
I believe that birth is a normal and physiological event but one that requires support, patience and confidence in mums and their natural ability to birth. I am a birth geek and love hearing about births, talking about birth, reading about birth and teaching new mums about birth. In particular I am passionate about the mind – body connection during birth and how this can be utilised to have a more comfortable experience. Essentially I believe that although birth can be unpredictable remaining calm and relaxed will always help in whatever situation is faced.
I am a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist (Surrey College Clinical Psychotherapy) DipHyp since 2010 and run hypnobirthing courses for groups (every Saturday) and individual couples.
I am also a Fertile Body Method Accredited Therapist since 2012 and experienced in working with mums and dads who have used IVF.
I recently trained with Kicki Hansard’s Birth Bliss doula course (Feb 2015)
I have experience of home and hospital births and hypnosis for child birth too.
As a hypnotherapist and antenatal teacher I have extensive experience in helping mums overcome previous birth traumas.
This year I have attended Penny Simkin’s When Survivors Give Birth 2 day workshop and Spinning Babies 1 day workshop on optimum positioning.
Lucy and Toby, mum and dad to Clemmy
able to refer me to alternative sources of information and discuss different
view points with me. She understood my concerns about induction. She
also understood and supported me in how far I felt I was able to resist the
pressure to do something. She came to appointments with me. She asked questions in a friendly and open manner which helped me to feel less alone in challenging them.’
