About Me

I am a mum of 2 boys; I had my first in the local hospital, my family were in England, and I and my husband found it a stressful time to adjust to becoming parents without much in the way of hands on support.

I had my second son at a planned homebirth with a doula for support. My family had moved over to be closer, but due to my mums ill health we still struggled for hands on support. After talking with my birth doula I learnt about postnatal doulas, and felt that I could provide this missing link to other families, that are struggling for support for various reasons.

I’m an open-minded, caring person and am hoping to work with families from all backgrounds. My goal is to support the family with their new arrival, to help make the time as stress-free as possible, so that they can enjoy getting to know their little one(s).

My main role is to provide practical support with light household duties while you find their own path into parenthood, and also to provide emotional support to the parents, assist them in learning to care for the newborn, and helping the mother to rest and recover.

I am happy to take on some of the daily chores; cooking, light housework, caring for pets and other children. I have an OCN qualification in breastfeeding peer support and over 4 years’ experience.
