About Me

I am known as Anna and more recently ‘Granna’ since I have four grandsons; it was my eldest son who decided to call me this and it has stuck. I have five grown-up children, three of them have children of their own, ranging from 7 years to 5 months. I have three sons and two daughters. It was when my eldest daughter became pregnant for the first time in 2022 that I decided to begin training to become a doula, I completed the training just before her baby was born in April.
Throughout my career, I have researched, studied, and worked with children and families. The passion I have for supporting families in whatever way I can has never gone away. I am a qualified NNEB and lecturer currently teaching in Further Education, the T-level diploma in education and early years.
I love the outdoors and to spend time amongst nature. Other favourite activities include swimming, music, painting, yoga, and of course spending time with family.
I have a particular interest in supporting women postnatally and I am aware of the holistic benefits. It would be a privilege to be able to support families to feel confident in their parenting and to provide individualised support.
