About Me
I am Clare and I am a mentored postnatal doula. As a mother of 4 I know that having a baby can be the most powerful, incredible and life changing time in your family’s life, but it can also be daunting, stressful and scary, and sometimes really not what you expected! As a postnatal doula it is my purpose to help make this time in your lives as stress free, calm and joyful as it can be for everyone, but especially for mum.
I understand how lost and unsupported a mum can feel at this time, and I have a passion and a ‘calling’ to help women so that they can really get the most from the unique experience of ‘matrescence’ – becoming a mother and all that entails.
As well as offering emotional support, and helping parents find a pathway to parenthood, I can also help with the practical side of things:
- postnatal planning
- recovery from birth
- feeding baby
- help around the house
- help with older siblings
My doula name is ‘doula del cielo’ which means ‘from the sky’ or ‘heaven sent’. I wish to be exactly what your family needs at this time in your life, and by really listening to you, I believe I can be.
