Hypnobirthing - Mindful Birth Courses
Hi, I’m Jade, a birth and postnatal doula.
If you have found your way here I assume it is because you are expecting a baby or recently welcomed a baby into your family… A huge congratulations!
It’s a very exciting time for you and your family yet it can be a little overwhelming at times too – which is why I am here to help.
My passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth and after childbirth comes from my own experiences and my love for helping others.
Being pregnant and giving birth to my son was a life changing moment that lead me on a path to become a doula. I believe your pregnancy, birth and first moments of parenthood should be a positive and supportive experience that you look back on with a sense of happiness and achievement.
Whilst pregnant with my son I wasn’t aware of the value of support from others and how much I would need it during birth and the early stages of parenthood. I later recognised after my son was born, even though I had the amazing support from my family and friends, I lacked the emotional, practical, informative and non-judgemental support from a doula throughout my journey.
I knew then I wanted to make it my goal to help others through their pregnancy, birth and postnatal journeys. Being supported, informed and involved throughout your journey is invaluable. Whether you are a pregnant woman, partner, birthing partner, surrogate or intended parents, a doula can help make that happen.
As your birth doula, I will listen, help answer any questions, give reassurance and encouragement when needed and help you prepare for the birth of your baby. Together we will discuss your birth preferences and any concerns. Whether you want to give birth in hospital, at home, have a water birth or another birth preference, I will be part of your support team. Working with your birthing partner and the midwives, I will help create a supportive birth environment for you and provide guidance, if needed.
As your postnatal doula, I will support you and your family during those first few weeks/months after bringing your baby home. I will be there to listen, help answer any questions, celebrate your successes, help you around the household, give you some time to shower/bath, sleep, relax and recharge. I will not be there to tell you what to do but can share some helpful parenting and newborn baby tips, if needed. My intention is to support you as the parent/s so you can continue to look after your baby and enjoy your postnatal experience.
It is important to note, I do not provide medical advice but I will help you understand the different options available so you can make informed choices throughout, and feel empowered!
A bit more about me…
I’m married to my husband and together we have a son. We live in Epping, Essex.
We love doing outdoor activities as a family, taking long forest walks and pub lunch pitstops is one of our favourite things to do. As well as the occasional holiday to somewhere coastal and warmer than the UK.
I love spending time with my family and friends, planning social events, listening to music and getting stuck into a good TV box set. I also have a massive sweet tooth and honestly couldn’t choose between chocolate or sweets! If I had to choose three words to describe myself they would be… Caring, dedicated and fun!
If I sound like the right doula for you and your family, or you would like to have a chat to get to know me more, please do get in touch.
