About Me
Hello beautiful one, I’m Jodie. A Birthkeeper, doula and womb worker and I support women through the journey of Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum. My offering as a Birthkeeper is to hold space for you and walk alongside you as you journey through this rite of passage of becoming mother. I support you to remember your inner birth and feminine wisdom that you hold deep within you from the women’s who feet have walked this path before you.
For 5 years I have worked with many women as a yoga teacher specialising in Pregnancy and Postpartum. It was through this work that I found myself gratefully on the doula path. I am always deeply humbled and honoured when invited to walk alongside families on this intimate journey.
I believe birth goes beyond the physical aspect. Its a sacred rite of passage. My role as a doula supports you in coming home to your innate power, confidence and body wisdom developing a deeper trust for birth so you have the most satisfying and empowered transition into motherhood.
I am passionate about women choosing to birth how and where they want and I will support you in advocacy and education so you can make informed choices.
I will draw upon my skills to offer you physical, emotional and spiritual support throughout your pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey holding space for you and your partner in whatever arises.
The support I offer can be tailored to each woman and family depending on their wants and needs as each pregnancy and postpartum journey is so beautifully different and unique.
A huge part of my work has been holding space for postpartum in a series of nurture to nourish mother and baby circles. A space were postpartum mothers can connect with other mothers and enjoy some nourishing self care practices. As a postpartum doula I support women in making their transition to motherhood as smooth and easeful as possible making sure she has all she needs to be refuelled with energy to provide for her new baby.
When I’m not doula’ing you will find me in nature connecting to the land, the cycles, dancing, singing, ceremony and community.
