Kathryn Matthews

I’m a Mother to two and a doula/birthkeeper specialising in home and free births. I’m so passionate about all things birth, pregnancy and mothering. I would be honoured to walk with you during these transformative experiences. I spent 15 years working in the charity sector as an events and corporate fundraiser and I absolutely loved my work, but when I became a Mother in 2017 I was transformed and I saw clearly that my calling was to support other women and babies via traditional birth work and continuity of carer support.

I live in Leeds, UK and have been married to my partner Dan since 2015. We both live for music and dancing with friends or just in the kitchen as a family is our favourite thing to do ever! We love travelling and being outdoors; walking, gardening, cycling, skiing, practising yoga and on the odd occasion scuba diving! I also personally love being ‘lazy’ too and absolutely prioritise rest, relaxation and meditation. I really enjoy reading and cooking, especially when reading anything to do with birth and cooking nourishing foods for Mothers and families!

It is my life’s honour to support you through the sacred rite of passage of birth. There is so much more to my package of support than just attending your birth, I will walk alongside you through the transformative experiences of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
