About Me
Hi! My name is Laura. I live in Shirebrook with my husband and three kids. I am originally from Poland but UK is where my heart is.
When I have birth to my second son at home, after a previous cesarean, I knew there’s no going back and I need to train as a doula! I believe that pregnancy and birth are rites of passages and provide a beautiful opportunity to go deep into self discovery and empowerment. Each women deserves to be seen in this transformation and this is my role as a doula – to provide continuous physical, emotional and informational support and facilitate the best possible birth experience. Each family is unique and there’s no „one-size-fits-all” approach – I’m here to listed to YOUR needs, explore options and signpost to evidence-based information.
I’m also a hypnobirthing teacher, offering 1:1/group courses, either face to face or online. I also provide free support for polish parents by running pregnancy and birth related fb groups ( @Świadomy poród UK – grupa wsparcia & @Naturalnie, że w domu). I’ve completed and attended many trainings and workshops for birth professionals, such as ABM breastfeeding support training, advanced VBAC doula certification (VBAC link) and womb steaming course (Kobieta w Pełni).
I’m currently on maternity leave and will be back to fully support families in mid 2023.
