Hi, welcome to my page, I’m so pleased that you are exploring having a doula to support you through your pregnancy and birth.
I believe having a doula’s support can give you so much more confidence, also helping to reduce any anxiety and hopefully have a calming effect to help you prepare for your journey into parenthood.
I do feel that it’s very important for women to have the information they need to make informed choices on how they would like to be supported during their pregnancy and birth. I feel passionately that women should feel in control throughout and my role as a birth doula is to provide you with a safe and calm environment by listening to your needs, liaising with health professionals and if you wish, guiding you through active birth techniques.
Childbirth doesn’t need to be (and usually isn’t) as traumatic and scary as is often portrayed in the media. I strongly believe that women have an innate ability to give birth, even though they may sometimes not feel ready.
You may have some questions about me or maybe you’d like a bit more information about my support before, during and after your birth. I’d love to hear from you, feel free to get in touch to find out if I’m the right doula for you.
Please feel free to call me at home on 0118 9697461 or on my mobile 07580 540 342.
Or you can email me at email@example.com or contact me through my website http://www.celtictouch.co.uk/or via Facebook on the link above.

As a doula I have been very privileged in supporting women and their partners during their first, second and subsequent births, both at home and in maternity units. I have experience of supporting women during natural birth, waterbirth, lotus birth and also with induction of labour, assisted birth, VBAC and caesarean births.
I have supported couples of different nationalities, worked alongside an interpreter, whilst also ensuring cultural traditions are upheld for both mother and baby.

“Linda is outstanding with her patience and has great personality. Her performance has been beyond my expectations and I will use Linda again should I be fortunate enough. She provided my wife and I with more than adequate knowledge for childcare and prepared us very well for childbirth” Wenjing & Bo
“Linda is a very calm person and appears extremely knowledgable in her field, so I felt secure in her care; I would almost go as far as saying I was relaxed! Linda has been my doula twice and I feel very fortunate to have had her assistance and I had two very easy births” Zoe
” A fantastic support. Helped us through a relatively long latent stage with lots of suggestions and positive encouragement, and also reflexology and acupressure. Helped S have a break now and then. Was without a doubt our advocate in hospital – from ensuring the atmosphere was right in every room we went into (turning off lights, keeping everything calm and quiet) to helping us with a plan to get the waterbirth we wanted despite the best efforts of the registrar on duty to stop this happening. Without Linda we definitely wouldn’t have had such a positive experience, and may not have achieved the calm water/hypnobirth that I had visualised” Helen
“I had heard about Doulas before, but wasn’t really sure if I needed one,
when the time came, we were all glad to have Linda on board.
She was so supportive, keeping me calm and focussed throughout my long labour.
This allowed my partner to support me physically with my active hypnobirthing,
while my sister prepared meals and drinks for us all.
She has, and continues to be, a great help and I look forward to her being
there for us when baby #2 comes along!”
Thank you Linda.
“Linda helped me in many ways to prepare body, mind and soul!
We use to meet almost every week for massage or reflexology, and those were great opportunity to discuss my concerns, exchange opinions, or simply chat. She always had helpful advice or pointed me out to where I could find more information. We also kept regular contact through email and phone.
Knowing that Linda was there made me feel confident and calm. She was instrumental in helping me breath properly, reminding me of my choices, giving me massages and using the affirmation techniques. Linda was of great help also in the liaison with hospital staff, specially the midwifes.
It was lovely having Linda with us, to share the joy of our new born.
