About Me
Serene start to parenthood!
About me
From the very beginning of my life, I have marvelled over life but my learning curve to support women started with the labour of my daughter 8 years ago. Before this life changing event, I had deepened into science with Honour BSc degree in bioengineering. While my studies were more practical, I found supporting women and their families more spiritual.
My little angel was my first teacher and taught me how to cherish every minute from conception to the present moment. She taught me how to be humble, accepting, compassionate, to reflect over and grow into motherhood.
She was delivered by emergency c-section under general anaesthesia. The second time I knew I needed to be prepared. It ended up with a positive experience of VBAC and a little boy on my chest.
At the moment I’m spending most of the time with little ones focusing on every new skill they develop. My family’s passion is travelling, discovering and widening our horizons by reading and experiencing. But most of all having fun.
In my free time, I support mums with issues infant feeding related or read books and research papers about small humans.
I believe in spirit and body power.
What do I offer
BIRTH DOULA
As YOUR Doula, I would like to offer a range of practical and spiritual information. My main goal is to follow the needs of a birthing woman. I aim for parents and a baby centred experience. I’m happy to attend hospital and home deliveries; elective cesareans, natural births, water births, breech deliveries and VBACs.
Before…
…the magical moment, I wish to support YOU antenatally. At this time I offer three meetings which will help to build trust, connect emotionally and dwell in a wide range of evidence based facts over options. From the end of 38 weeks of gestation, I will be on call day and night to pick up…
…when the time comes…
I will be there to facilitate YOUR emotional comfort. I wish to enable YOU to believe in YOURSELF and positively manage expectations. I will stay until freshly born mum and her baby are ready to rest.
After…
…the birth, I will arrange the meeting to discuss and summarise, closing this chapter and opening the new and unknown. I will also give information where to seek help if necessary.
