Hi! Thanks for checking out my profile. I’m Naomi, mum to 3 boys – Harry, Max and Archie. I’m married to Aidan and we live in Woodford Green. A little bit about me – I’m 43, I have a huge interest in natural health – homeopathy, essential oils, meditation, nutrition, energy healing and bioenergetics. I make and sell natural products including postnatal herb baths and organic body creams. I also love travelling, adventuring, reading, good food and wine.
I have a background in paediatric nursing and midwifery although I didn’t complete my training, I have supported many women clinically during birth plus many more in the antenatal and postnatal period.
I left the NHS aged just 23 years old, bitterly disappointed that I wasn’t able to build good relationships with women and their families over time and support them in the way I felt best. I couldn’t find my way through the red tape, endless paperwork and hospital policies to get to those who needed my love and support.
After travelling for 18 months, I completed my Nursery Nurse diploma and worked with 2 wonderful families as a full time Nanny over 11 years. I adored being part of a family and building lasting relationships (I’m still very close to both families many years on) I still felt that this wasn’t my pathway though. I yearned to support women in some way.
After the traumatic early birth of my eldest son Harry, I realised there was a huge gap of support for new mums in my area. I started running mother and baby groups from home and they were a great success. I started my Antenatal teacher training and went on numerous workshops from sleep training, breastfeeding support, birth trauma and maternal complications, reflux and early allergies and many more which all led me straight into the path of becoming a doula. I’ve finally found my way. I can build good solid relationships with women and their partners/families, provide ongoing, loving support through out their birth experience and into the postnatal period. I feel like I can truly make a difference.
As from 2021, I have decided to solely support families who choose to birth at home (although happy to support in hospital if transferred in) and those who wish to birth outside the traditional system. I’m particularly interested in supporting families choosing wild pregnancies and free birthing. I am also offering antenatal workshops to people who are unsure of all their options and would like to consider every possibility available to them.
I believe every woman is unique in her pregnancy and birth journey so as a result, I tailor a different package each time. Please see my website for more details

A father’s perspective of my role as a doula💖
Couldn’t have done it without you!
With previously little knowledge of what a doula can provide I was unsure as to how this could improve the birth experience for my wife and I. However, Naomi was amazing in providing support for us throughout our journey. From our first meeting with Naomi at our home, we built a great rapport and Naomi helped ease some of my doubts around my role as husband during the birth. I was keen to be as involved as possible and Naomi supported me throughout the whole labour, leaving me to care for my wife and supporting when needed.
During an amazing, emotional and epic 48-hour labour Naomi supported not just my amazing wife but thankfully allowed me to grab a much-needed power nap when my wife’s contractions eased. Naomi’s recipes for labour aid drink and groaning cake were brilliant ideas and helped fuel my wife for our home-birth.
After two days and a non-urgent trip to hospital for the final stages of labour, our little man arrived. Naomi even followed the ambulance to hospital and managed to persuade a police road block to let her through, so she didn’t miss the birth (What a superhero!).
Since birth, we’ve also had an amazing chicken stew delivered too which was delicious!
Naomi, I can’t thank you enough, as you genuinely helped make our home birth an amazing experience, Alice is already planning the next one!
From Alex- (a very grateful father to Leo and husband to Alice)
I don’t really know what to say about Naomi- we met through mutual friends when I moved into the area and gossiped and all things baby, childbirth and fertility related. I had a lot of intervention with my first birth and a history of recurrent miscarriages and she was hugely empathetic. When I fell pregnant again, it felt natural to contact her for support and we had a number of counselling and massage sessions over the following months, discussed health and nutrition and homeopathic remedies and had number of yoga sessions. As my pregnancy was very high risk we didn’t plan to have her at the birth but I felt well prepared and calm. When I went into labour I was so calm the hospital turned me away despite contractions being two minutes apart so we called Naomi for advice and she came straight over- and ended up delivering our daughter safely at home 90 minutes later. I have no idea how she took charge and stayed calm in a situation that was absolutely terrifying for me and my husband. I am so so grateful for everything she has done for us. I am sure the successful birth was down to her skill and the trust we built up over the previous months. I will be forever in her debt.
Words cannot describe how wonderful Naomi is. I am so incredibly grateful that I stumbled across her on the Doula UK website, and was able to book her as my birth doula. Her presence is calming, relaxing and reassuring. I was left feeling positive, and relaxed following every one of our appointments. Naomi gave me her time generously, she listened purposefully and went above and beyond her role as a birth doula. I had two antenatal massages which were incredibly relaxing and calming, and were perfect for de-stressing, reducing anxiety and helped with my swelling. During the birth of my second daughter, Naomi was phenomenal. I cannot put into words how supported and cared for I felt with her there. She wasn’t just supporting me however, my husband felt supported and reassured by her too. It was like having your sister, your best friend, your mum, your advocate and your strength balled into one, standing beside you, cheering you on, keeping you positive, taking away your fear, and encouraging your inner goddess. She knew the right things to say, the right things to do, and eased away any discomfort or anxiety. She was quietly in the background and worked tirelessly to ensure our birth was everything we planned, maintaining the calm and quiet environment that was needed, and I was blown away by how much she did prior to, during and after the birth. By the time the midwives had left, had it not been for a newborn lying peacefully in my arms, you wouldn’t have known we’d had a birth at home! This meant my husband and I could enjoy the precious hours after birth, bonding and recovering, without worrying about putting our home back together. Birth should be like this for every woman. Both my husband and I felt cared for, and supported throughout. I am truly so grateful to be fortunate enough to have had Naomi at our birth, it was such a positive experience and I cannot fault the support she gave us. Naomi, we cannot thank you enough for your support, kindness and love. We are so grateful for everything you did for us, and we are so glad we were lucky enough to have met you. You’re my hero, my heart is fuller having met you. Thank you!!!!
