About Me

My birth journey started by learning HypnoBirthing and having two homebirths with one child having a post birth stay in hospital due to potential meconium issues.  I come from a technical background which has honed my analytical thinking but I’ve learnt that birth is WAY more than a how-to guide to follow. We are all different and birth has it’s own agenda. I became a HypnoBirthing teacher myself and run my local Positive Birth Movement group in Moray. As I love deepening my knowledge and sharing it to help others including becoming a Rebozo practitioner.  The power of being ‘held’ is immense.   I’m trained in 3 Step Rewind to help women feel more positive about past traumas which I felt was important to acknowledge and understand. I’m on my local hospital maternity liason committee and actively work with all to look for and make improvements to services. Currently our Obstetric and Paediatric services have been removed so it’s very active! I volunteer as an NHS breastfeeding peer supporter and as a local sling supporter. Phew! I felt a calling finally to train formally as a doula to offer my support and share information wider.  I continue to attend various birth conferences to make sure that I am extending and updating my knowledge to help you in your journey.  Again one size does not fit all. I’m a doula to help you have as positive birth experience as you can. Xx
