I have a background of over 20 years working alongside families as a nanny, maternity practitioner and postnatal doula, following a Diploma in Early Years qualification (2002).
I have written courses, accredited by the Open College Network for professionals in Postnatal and Newborn Care, Understanding Sleep in Babies and Early Years Care and Education. I now teach on a Maternity Practitioner training course.
In 2021 I opened The New Parent Company to provide services and support during the postnatal period. An area I really recognised as not only important, but lacking in support when I had my own daughter in 2016. We quickly added antenatal education/hypnobirthing classes too and now provide these services and classes in NW London and online.
Becoming a postnatal doula is enhancing the work I already do and allowing me to support more people through this period.
I specialise in hypnobirthing and postnatal planning during pregnancy.
In postpartum, I can support with newborn care, infant sleep and feeding support, as well as advocacy and physical, emotional and hormonal healing.
I also love to cook and nutrition in the postpartum period is a huge part of my package of support.
