I'm Alice, a 43-year-old postnatal doula working in London, Essex, and Hertfordshire area. I am deeply committed to supporting new mothers as they begin their incredible journey of parenthood., I understand that each mothers experience is so unique, which is why I'm dedicated to providing tailored and bespoke support, recognising that each persons birth, baby and circumstance is so different.
My personal journey as a mother of three boys aged 16,14 & 11 and my varied experiences during their births and postnatally has driven my passion for wanting to help and support mothers like you navigate the sometimes difficult but precious early days of parenting. I've always been there for close friends and family, and this inspired me to extend my support to mothers and families in need of a positive, well informed, kind and well-guided postnatal experience.
When I am not working with new mamas, you can find me chasing around after my boys at their various extra curricular activities or enjoying a meal out with my partner (we are mad foodies), or trying to find calm in the chaos doing my yoga and barre classes. My prior career in Events and PR was exhilarating but demanding and stressful and I only found out after changing my career what it could feel like to love going to work. I feel as though I found my true calling in working as a postnatal doula, aligning with my core values and allowing me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families like yours.
As your postnatal doula, I offer a variety of services, including occasional night-time support, recognising the importance of the right assistance during this transformative time. Whether you're a first-time mum feeling overwhelmed or seeking to establish your "new normal" with an expanding family, I'm here to offer a reliable hand of support, practical help, and a listening ear.
Another of a doula's superpowers is to share information about nearby support groups, parenting sessions, drop-ins, and specialist health professionals like lactation consultants or tongue tie specialists that can provide additional help where and when needed.
In the early days of parenthood, practical assistance can make all the difference and allow you to focus solely on the things that are important. My role encompasses a range of support, including but not limited too:
- Infant care
- Feeding support
- Light Sibling support
- Running errands
- Assisting with household tasks
- Laundry help
- Accompanying you on your first outings
- Preparing meals, snacks, or drinks
- Providing that invaluable "extra pair of hands" so you can cherish the joys of new parenthood.
I would be honoured to be part of your early parenting journey. Feel free to explore my website at www.bumpbabyandbeyond.xyz to discover more about how I can help you and your family. Don't hesitate to get in touch, and let's embark on this incredible journey together.
