Hello and welcome. Firstly I would like to say congratulations to you or someone you love on expecting a baby or the birth of your new baby. My name is Amisha, I am a mother to 3 wonderful children, a hands-on auntie to 6 amazing nieces and nephews and a qualified childcare practitioner. All of which has provided me with two decades of experience.
Each experience was unique and exposed me to differing joys and challenges. Being a parent myself I can relate to how the welcoming of a newborn can make a parent, sibling or family feel, both emotionally and physically. Each family's journey towards parenthood is unique.
From a very young age I have been fascinated by all things pregnancy & birth and love to hear everyone’s different thoughts, opinions and experiences. I have had the pleasure of seeing newborns I have nurtured, turn into young adults and parents I have supported turn into grandparents. I have experience working with first time parents, as well as second and third, along with twins. I have a caring, nurturing nature and I would like to use this to support others.
Whether it's your first baby or your sixth, the early weeks after birth can be overwhelming. A doula can help ease you into navigating your way through the joys and challenges of having a newborn as you transition into the fourth trimester and find out what works for you. A doulas aim is to build confidence and empower you to realise that you already have all the tools that you need to nurture your baby.I had the pleasure of completing my 'Postnatal Doula Initial Preparation Course' with 'Younique Postnatal'.
