Hello and welcome. Firstly I would like to say congratulations to you or someone you love on expecting a baby or the birth of your new baby. My name is Amisha, I am a mother to 3 wonderful children, a hands-on auntie to 6 amazing nieces and nephews and a qualified childcare practitioner. All of which has provided me with two decades of experience.
Each experience was unique and exposed me to differing joys and challenges. Being a parent myself I can relate to how the welcoming of a newborn can make a parent, sibling or family feel, both emotionally and physically. Each family’s journey towards parenthood is unique.
From a very young age I have been fascinated by all things pregnancy & birth and love to hear everyone’s different thoughts, opinions and experiences. I have had the pleasure of seeing newborns I have nurtured, turn into young adults and parents I have supported turn into grandparents. I have experience working with first time parents, as well as second and third, along with twins. I have a caring, nurturing nature and I would like to use this to support others.
Whether it’s your first baby or your sixth, the early weeks after birth can be overwhelming. A doula can help ease you into navigating your way through the joys and challenges of having a newborn as you transition into the fourth trimester and find out what works for you. A doulas aim is to build confidence and empower you to realise that you already have all the tools that you need to nurture your baby.
I had the pleasure of completing my ‘Postnatal Doula Initial Preparation Course’ with ‘Younique Postnatal’.
