Please contact me directly through my website or via text/call - the Doula UK enquiry form is going through changes and sometimes doesn't work.
At the heart of this work for me is a fascination with birth, and with how much pregnancy, birth and recovery can ask of someone, both physically and emotionally. I know this experience can stay with people for a long time, and I want the people I work with to feel deeply cared for as they move through something so significant and personal.
As a birth and postnatal doula, I support mothers, birthing people and families through pregnancy, birth and the months that follow. For many people, one of the hardest parts is knowing what to listen to in the middle of so much information and so many opinions. In a city like London, where many of us are missing that steady, trusted support around us, I see my role as helping to turn the volume down on all the chatter so you can hear yourself more clearly — to understand what matters most to you, to prepare with more clarity, and to feel more confident in your choices, especially when circumstances change.
What matters to me in this work is the connection between what is happening in your body and what is happening emotionally, and the way your environment and the people around you can shape your experience. I want my presence to feel steady and nurturing in all of that, helping you feel held and cared for.
What support can look like...
Birth Support
My birth support is there to help you prepare, understand your options, and know there is steady support around you through pregnancy, labour and birth.
What’s included:
- A free initial consultation where we can get to know one another and discuss your needs.
- At least two in-person antenatal sessions, shaped around you, your questions, and what feels most important to explore.
- Space to talk through your birth preferences, postnatal plans, and any hopes or worries you may be carrying.
- Support to prepare for birth with more clarity and with a better understanding of your options.
- A dedicated WhatsApp group for you, your birth partner and me from the time you book, so you have a steady point of contact and somewhere to bring questions as they arise.
- Signposting to clear, trusted, evidence-based information when that feels helpful.
- An on-call period from 38 weeks until your baby is born, with 24/7 contact during that time.
- A calm, steady presence during labour and birth, from the point you call me until a few hours after your baby is born.
- One postnatal session in the first couple of weeks after birth.
- Ongoing WhatsApp contact through your fourth trimester.
Postnatal Support
After birth, my focus is on caring for you as you recover and adjust, with practical and emotional support that helps you feel looked after and less alone.
What’s included:
- Time and space to debrief your birth and begin to process your experience.
- Emotional support as you adjust to life with a new baby.
- Light meal prep and snacks, so you feel more nourished and looked after.
- Gentle support with newborn care as you find your rhythm.
- Practical help around the house, such as tidying or laundry.
- Caring for your baby while you rest, shower, or have a little time to yourself.
- Signposting to clear, trusted, evidence-based information on topics such as feeding and sleep when that feels helpful.
- Signposting to local professionals and groups, such as breastfeeding support, baby massage, or parent and baby groups.
- Evening/overnight support available on special request.
If the support you need looks a little different, you’re very welcome to get in touch, and we can talk through what might work best.
About Me
I have felt drawn to birth work since I was 12, and although I later trained as a psychotherapist, the pull towards this work never really left. There is still something magical to me about the creation of new life, and I came back to this work through a deep respect for birth — for all that people can experience physically, emotionally and in ways that can feel transformative. I also know how important it is that people understand their options and feel more supported in systems that can sometimes feel overwhelming or impersonal. I completed my Intensive Doula training with Nurturing Birth, and feel grateful to now be doing work that has been calling to me for such a long time.
My Focus
My focus is on your wellbeing, and on making sure you feel cared for, listened to and involved in decisions throughout. I know that identity, culture and lived experience can really shape how pregnancy, birth and care are experienced, and I work with that in mind. I care about supporting informed choice and reducing unnecessary intervention where possible. For me, good care is not just about the baby being born, but about how you are treated as you move through it.
