I have been a massage therapist for 9 years and have recently qualified as a Doula, specialising in postnatal recovery and pregnancy massage. My intensive knowledge of body therapy is refined through holistic, remedial and deep tissue massage. I'm a nature lover, poet and artist based in Islington.
There has always been something sacred to me about birth—the strength, the tenderness, the transformation. Becoming a doula felt like answering a calling, rooted in my belief that every birthing person should feel truly seen, supported, and powerful in their journey. The heart of my approach is to nurture and soothe mothers however this is best suited to them; reassuring a tranquil space and assisting them to feel at home with themselves, externally and internally.
I’ve always loved holding space for people in big life moments and funnily enough I've always been the therapist or mother of my friendship groups. They often remind me that I have a grounding presence and warmth of touch; I bring calm to their chaos and illuminate their own inner wisdom. I balance warmth and reassurance with clear, heartfelt honesty—so you and your partner (if present) feel supported and empowered throughout every step of the way.
Though I’m early in my doula journey, I bring with me a rich foundation of training, intuition, and nurturing. I’m here to offer calm presence, practical support, and unwavering belief in your ability to birth!
My skills include:
• A deep-rooted wisdom of the nervous system and how to soothe it
• An extensive and soulful understanding to wellbeing, nutrition, and mindfulness
• A love for the physiology of birth, and the sacred unfolding of a mother in her instinctive birthing state
• Compassionately organised, ensuring every detail supports your experience
• Therapeutic massage, breathwork and mobility practices
• The ability to hold emotional space without judgment
A pivotal moment in realizing that the doula path is my higher calling came while supporting my friend Sophie (a mother of 4) which deepened my sense of purpose and connection. I was there for her emotionally and practically throughout her prenatal and postnatal journey. I gave her prenatal and postnatal massages, food prepped and cooked, tidied up, spent time with her baby or children as she napped, helped with baby and toddler bath time. Finally and most importantly I was always there to be a listening ear, hold a safe and honest non-judgemental space and gave open-hearted guidance when she asked. I felt a profound fascination with birth stories, the maternal body wisdom and ancestral care. I listened to all the women in my family speak of their birthing experiences including my mother, grandmother and aunties as well as my friends. When I began my Wellmother pregnancy massage journey with clients this burning passion and gratitude only kept growing stronger. Supporting women through the sacred threshold of birth brings me a true sense of inner peace.
My approach is rooted in softness, strength, and informed choice. I’m not here to direct your birth—I’m here to walk beside you with open hands, a steady voice, and deep trust in your instincts.
I love supporting first-time parents who want to feel calm and prepared. I hold space for families choosing Cesarean birth with care and celebration. I work best with people who want a doula who’s emotionally intuitive, gently practical, and fully present.
My Doula values:
- Compassionate presence
- Empowering & heart-led guidance
- Sacred respect for birth
- Attentive care
- Holistic wellbeing
- Trust and patience
- Grounded reliability
- Emotional attunement
An inspirational quote that I live by:
"Vunerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change" - Brené brown
“A thorough consultation and catch up from the last session made me feel listened to and gave me confidence that my treatment would be tailored to what I needed at that point in time. It was divine. Anna also taught me some very helpful birth ball exercises to open up my pelvis for birth and strengthen my squat because I'd told her that I was going for an active and low-intervention home labour and birth.
Honestly, I've felt truly pampered, having Anna's undivided attention and expertise during these final weeks of pregnancy. The sessions have been so calm and a perfect moment to relax and get into the mindset of actually getting ready for birth. I used the breathing techniques Anna taught me during labour to make sure that I was relaxed and getting enough oxygen to my uterus. Thank you so much for your time and energy, Anna! I can't wait for other pregnant women to experience this also and will definitely be recommending your service and cheering you on.” — Tayaba, Mother of 3
