I am a cheerful, laid back mother to two brilliant girls and it’s thanks to them that I found the wonderful world of being a Doula. I love being the sounding board for new mums and making sure their fridge is full of yummy nourishing food.
As your Doula I will support you and your family in preparing for the arrival of your new baby and life after. I will also be there for you once home, ensuring you can rest and savour the precious moments with your new baby. I will offer practical ideas for infant care, breastfeeding and emotional support, empowering you to find your own way of caring for your baby. I'll prepare soups and hearty stews to keep you well-fed, along with my cracking banana bread!
I also hired extra support after the birth of my first daughter. Even though my husband was very hands on, our parents didn't live in London and my mother died when I was young, and so we naturally reached out. That support taught me the value of making my own choices and I now want to pass on that positive experience to other postnatal families. I've trained with The Birth Bliss Academy and Younique Postnatal, taking their Twins and More, Postnatal Planning and Reflux workshops. I am also a volunteer for the Breastfeeding Network supporting mums with their breastfeeding concerns at my local drop-in clinics.
I will listen to you and support your choices. I am devoted to offering families the same emotional and practical support I had, creating the space and time needed to rest, recover and enjoy their start to parenthood.
