Hello! I'm Antonia. Huge congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope that you're feeling GOOD! How absolutely wonderful that you're looking for doula support; it really can make all the difference.
Although relatively new to Doula UK, I've been an antenatal teacher for fifteen years, and a doula for ten. Over the years I've supported more families than I can possibly count, but each and every experience has been unique and incredibly special.
I live and work down by the coast, in beautiful West Sussex. As well as attending births and looking after families postnatally, I also teach antenatal and hypnobirthing classes, run baby massage sessions, lead two Motherless Mothers groups, and offer 'Open House Thursdays' where pregnant women and new mums can come to my home with their babies and just be looked after for a while. I'm also a very proud volunteer for Doulas Without Borders, who support women and families experiencing disadvantage. As well, I'm an NHS trained breastfeeding supporter.
I absolutely LOVE supporting new parents; there's nothing more incredible than helping people realise just how wonderful and capable they really are. The ripple effects are huge, too; happy parents mean happy children - which means a healthy society.
When I'm not looking after new families, I'm hanging out with my lovely husband and our three gorgeous kids (Will is sixteen, Toby is thirteen and Maisie is eleven), walking our two rescue dogs on the beach, visiting local schools to run sessions for our local Climate Resilience Centre, and for Animal Aid, (or running around Tescos before hanging the washing out).
I really, truly believe that 'peace on earth begins at birth' - and nothing makes me happier than being a part of creating that peace. If you think that you and I might be a good fit, have a little wander around my website. If you want to arrange a chat after that, well I'm looking forward to it already!
In the meantime, I'm sending you lots of love. XxX
