My name is Beverley Morgan and I am 64 years old. I have 3 daughters and 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. I have been privileged to attend each of my 3 granddaughters’ birth .

I trained as a Nurse and Midwife in London when I left Wales at 18. I last worked as a midwife about 26 years ago when I had my 2nd daughter. In fact, I delivered her myself at home!

I have had several jobs since then including a special needs teaching assistant to an autistic boy for 4years, run my own internet business with a friend selling Puffa clothing and more recently I went back to college to train as a Beauty therapist. So, if you want to look and feel glamorous during or after the birth then it can be arranged!! I now do treatments from home together with looking after granddaughters while their Mums go to work.

In my spare time I have worked as a Home Start volunteer helping families with children under 5 when the family is going through a particularly stressful time. I also trained as a Samaritan and worked on the telephone line for several years. I enjoy gardening, socializing with friends and doing road trips with my partner who is into cars!

I am a down to earth type of person, caring and non-judgmental. I always try to behave and do what I would like to have done to me in any situation. I try to take the drama out of a situation and remain logical and calm. I have faith in the body doing the right thing and letting nature take its course but of course recognizing when intervention is necessary. I believe that pregnancy and birth is a natural condition and not an illness and the body will come up trumps when it has too!
