Firstly can I say thank you for browsing at my page. Secondly, congratulations on one of the greatest times of your life. Thirdly, let me help you with the most important journey of your life. How to choose a Doula. There’s a lot of us about. We come in all shapes and sizes, with lots of extra skills and experiences. Get in touch with a few of us. Find some profiles that you feel a connection with. Its most important that you feel comfortable having someone in your home during those early weeks. Find someone you think you may gel with. It’s a very special bond we share with many of our clients. I am still in touch with many of my past clients. I count some of them as my closest friends. A bit about me. I am a mother of 3 children.( Living near Bicester, Buckinghamshire /Oxfordshire boarders ) My babies were born in 91, 94 and 97. All hospital births. I trained as an NNEB (Nurse Nurse) student in 1985 and have worked with numerous children since. As a live-in Nanny, night Nanny, childminder and Foster Carer. I just love little people, and helping parents to have the best experiences with their own little ones.
I love motherhood though the challenges my children have put me through make me feel 90! Make the most of your babies. I have been involved with our local NCT at various stages and trained as a breast feeding counsellor. Before I trained as a Doula I worked in customer services and retail management (Mothercare) and find that this makes me a good communicator with people and very easy going. Should you need any advice on purchasing baby equipment I have vast knowledge on the good and bad, the necessary and the completely useless things you can buy for your baby.
My Doula Training. I began my training with Nurturing Birth in 2007. At present I am not taking on birth Doula clients. Instead I am preferring to concentrate on :- Post natal Doula/Night Nanny/ Maternity Nurse Having a baby, be it your first or 4th can be a hugely challenging time. Physically and emotionally. These days new parents are sent home with less information than Ikea flat pack furniture.
As extended families are now spread worldwide, mums are having babies at an older age, therefore their own parents aren’t always able to offer help. That’s where I come in. Let me help you through the stormy first few weeks/months of parenthood. I will be there to help the transition into parenthood to help with jobs around the house, helping parents get that much needed rest. Anything from looking after siblings so mum can get a sleep, helping establish feeding routines (breast or bottle) do light housework, cooking( I love cooking and have a keen interest in Nutrition), shopping, whatever makes your life easier and gives you precious time with your new baby.
I live near Aylesbury and will provide support to a wide area including Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey and London. My true passion in working as a night nanny . Combining my Nursery Nurse and doula training means I can give you the much needed break you will crave while at the same time offering you the support and guidance that you need. I don't charge a booking fee or registration fee like agencies. I charge £28-£35 an hour again depending on location and hours booked. I don't make any additional charges for mileage. There isn't much really I won't do where babies are concerned.
I have been booked to look after groups of children at weddings, babysit in hotels and go on family holidays. Just ask. Most of my work is around the Beaconsfield-Gerrards Cross and London area but I'm happy to travel anywhere. 2025 Update. I have worked with over 60 families of twins over the past 17 year. Both as a Postnatal Doula, Night Nanny and Maternity Nurse. Both Breast and bottle fed. I have been continuously busy working nights and days with families with new babies. I work on a first come first served basis so the earlier you book the better chance you have of securing my time. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile and feel free to get in touch for an informal chat or more information.
