About Me
Hello and congratulation for you baby. I am glad you found me here.
I am Brazilian who was born in France, and currently lives in London. I also have family in the US and a Portuguese nationality. Often people ask me why I have changed my career from being a lawyer to become a doula. My answer is I find joy in helping others and connecting with people. It also enables me to balance career and enjoying my two children. Finally, I do believe all couples should have someone to support them at birth when they are vulnerable and going through such a memorable moment. Having had a doula myself, I know that preparing for birth can make a big difference as well as having a caring person with birth experience.
When they ask me what I bring to my role as a doula, I like to say, “listening skills”, “respect”, and “joy”. I do like to engage into scientific research, but my experience having had a horrendous birth, and an amazing one almost 2 years later gave me a broad perspective. Being certified in Positive Psychology, as a Health coach specialised on Pregnancy and as a Gentle Birth instructor gave me the informational and emotional foundation.
