I’m Cara Jordan, a Birth and Postnatal Doula serving West London, Maidenhead, Reading & surrounding areas. I offer support during pregnancy, birth and in the months after birth. The support is bespoke to you, shaped by your needs, circumstance, ethos & beliefs. I come to you with an open heart and mind, plus a wealth of experience gained over eight years of doula practice.

Birth
Birth your baby knowing you will be truly supported throughout your birth experience.

You are starting to build a vision of how you would like your birth experience to look, of how you’d like to feel as you welcome your baby. You need to know that your birth preferences will be represented in the birth room, that your voice will be heard.  Potentially, you’ve had a difficult past birth experience, one you don’t want repeated. As you navigate your pathway to birth, you and your partner have had thoughts of needing another layer of support. How could investing in this changing experience, your birth experience, make the difference?

In preparation for birth, you’ll access and develop your birthing ethos to inform choices pregnancy & birth may present to you. During birth I'll be tuned into both you and your partner, to provide emotional and practical support, a continuous friendly presence. Choose from a range of Birth Doula packages.

MY APPROACH

Our meetings in preparation for birth form a valuable foundation. You will explore a variety of topics with the aim of accessing and developing your birthing ethos. Your birthing ethos can help inform choices pregnancy & birth may present to you.

DURING BIRTH

During birth you’ll want to be in tune with your partner and I’ll be there to provide another layer of emotional and practical support.

Being comfortable in birth will be a priority for you,  I can provide massage and other physical comfort measures and support your partner in doing so too.

Your birthing environment will be set up as you envisioned.

We’ll remind you of your strength.

If a need arises, you’ll want support to gather information so you can make informed decisions in the moment.

After birth, once you are comfortable and content, I’ll slip away. Within a week of birth, I'll visit you at home to discuss the birth and how you are finding early parenthood.

Postnatal

Support which promotes your recovery, creates time for you to rest, answers your questions, navigates difficulties with you, listens to your experience, takes care of household tasks and feeds you. Resulting in you soaking-up your baby, staying in synergy with your partner, maintaining a balance to your home and feeling confident in recognising your baby’s needs. Support to replicate the benefits of living in a close community. Support which is impartial, without judgement and follows your choices.

As a parent-to-be, you’re maybe feeling a little daunted at this stage, with thoughts of minimal sleep, acquiring new skills, fielding the mass of advice and keeping the plates-of-life spinning. You’ve heard that some find new parenthood tricky, so you’ve decided to plan for when your baby is here, to grow your support network.

Perhaps you’ve been here before, now pregnant again, with thoughts of wanting your growing family to move into this new phase with ease. As you welcome this baby, you’d like to have time for your older children, to be able to respond to their emotions and needs. Maybe there were aspects of your last postnatal experience you’d like to be different this time around, and doula supports feels like it could effect that change.

Or perhaps your baby is in your arms and you are feeling a little lost and tired. You’d like to be in a better place, to be more present and at ease. You are missing the support you need.

Humans evolved in close communities, with extended family, friends & neighbours, the loss of that bustling community can be felt quite acutely when we start our own families. In the past, we would have absorbed skills, gained experience and of course benefited from hands-on help living in such close proximity. This can be felt quite acutely when we start our own families. I see the role of a Doula and Night Nanny as easing this lost experience and community.

How could investing in this changing time make the difference?

AREAS OF SUPPORT

The early weeks and months are a steep, love-fuelled learning curve and a time of recovery so, as you get to know your baby, I can offer guidance, empathy, encouragement and an extra pair of hands. There are some modern expectations put upon babies, which most babies haven’t agreed to, so a part of my role is to signpost to information to normalise infant behaviour. I care without judgement, following your lead. My role is to ease your postnatal pathway, to provide the emotional, informational and practical support that you and your family need.

DOULA SUPPORT

  • Infant feeding, whether breastfeeding or bottle-feeding. I am a trained breastfeeding counsellor and have lots of experience around bottle feeding too.
  • Spending time with your baby while you rest.
  • Light housework tasks & food preparation.
  • Negotiating challenges with you, talking concerns through and researching into solutions with you.
  • Caring for siblings and pets.
  • Signposting to relevant organisations or professionals.
  • Discussing the birth and unpacking feelings around it.
  • Plus many more!

NIGHT DOULA SUPPORT

I use the terms Night Nanny and Night Doula interchangeably, I approach the role in the same way: compassionate, responsive, overnight care for your baby. My aim is to care for your baby, as you would.  Support intended to restore your energy levels and aid your healing journey.

  • Infant feeding; breastfeeding feeding support & bottle feeding.
  • Winding, soothing & settling your baby, a responsive approach.
  • Nappy, clothing & bedding changes for your baby.
  • Recording details of nappy changes and feeds.
  • Cleaning bottles and pumping equipment.
  • Exploring infant sleep with you.

MY POSTNATAL EXPERIENCE

Over my eight years of practice as a Postnatal Doula and Night Nanny, I have supported families navigating: postnatal recovery, caesarian birth recovery, establishing breastfeeding, combination feeding, expressing milk, feeding issues, tongue-tie, reflux symptoms, babies’ health concerns, recognising their baby’s needs, care of premature babies, care of twins, devastating baby loss, sibling adjustment, parental anxiety, parental low-mood, postnatal depression and adjusting to parenthood. I have supported both couples and solo parents.

I have cared for them by: listening, preparing food, creating time for them to rest, researching with them, advocating for them, tiding their home, offering guidance, caring for their baby, over-night newborn care, discussing their baby’s sleep, signposting to other skilled professionals, caring for siblings, feeding pets, chatting about baby-wearing, bathing their baby and settling their baby.

I’m paediatric first aid trained, have insurance and hold a Disclosure and Baring Certificate.

About

Motherhood wakened my questioning mind, which set me on a beautiful journey, in 2018 I became a Birth & Postnatal doula. I support families across West London, Maidenhead, Reading and surrounding areas

For millennia, humans have lived in close communities with extended family and neighbours. In these communities we would have heard, seen and even supported birth before our own birth experience. Similarly in caring for infants, we would have seen people caring for babies in close proximity, spent time with babies and cared for them before having our own. Increasingly over the last 100 years, we live in a nuclear family structure, with less chance of gaining lived experience, acquiring skills and the support that is afforded by a close community. This can be felt quite acutely when we start our own families. I see the role of a Doula and Night Nanny as easing this lost experience and community.

ON REFLECTION

I am a mum to two energetic beauties; my daughter was born in 2010 and my son in 2014. There is a lot of ‘teen energy’ now! Before becoming a mama, I worked in London as a fashion buyer, developing product ranges across the high street.

On reflection, I wish I had doula support around the time of their births. Firstly a postnatal doula, in caring for my daughter, my first born. It was such a steep, love-fuelled learning curve, to have had a doula by my side to encourage, empathise, guide and normalise, to help me adjust from my ‘modern/busy/London/career’ brain to that of motherhood would have been such a benefit.

Secondly, a birth doula, for the birth of my son. I carried some unresolved experiences to his birth. I wished I had worked with a doula ahead of his birth, explored my experiences and then had her support on the day. To have felt understood and truly seen would have made the difference.

MY APPROACH

In 2018 I trained to be a doula with Conscious Birthing , after which I became mentored doula within Doula UK.  That same summer, I started working with my first client, a client I went on to support through the births of her five children in Oxford.

I love being a calming, reassuring presence for my clients and seeing the difference that can make. As well as a practice of service, it’s also been one of self discovery and refection. Being a doula and caring for families feeds my soul.

I'm caring, friendly and open. I will support you and your partner in your choices and as you need.  I would consider it to be an honour to be part of your journey.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact to ask any questions or to arrange to meet. The introductory meeting is without obligation and free, it’s a great opportunity to learn more about one another.

Testimonials

G.C.’s Postnatal Testimonial. Cara was a real lifeline during one of the toughest, loneliest times in my life. She stepped into our world with such warmth & treated our son as if he were her own. She made me feel completely safe and supported. I trusted her implicitly—she always seemed to know exactly what I needed or what my son needed, often without me saying a word.

When she came, I used to joke that a fairy had visited. I had a spotless home, a perfectly calm baby, and everything perfectly in order. Whether it was cooking a tasty, nutritious breakfast for me, putting together a playpen, prepping baby meals when my son was a little older, she was a steady, comforting presence in the chaos of new motherhood, there was nothing she couldn’t do!

Her kindness and intuition brought me so much comfort and strength during those early days. She gave me the space to rest and recover & I will be forever be grateful for the care, love and peace she gave me, my son and partner when we needed it most. Thank you Cara x

J & R’s Birth Testimonial
Before I met Cara I spoke to her on the phone and she was so extremely friendly and sweet that I knew I wanted her to be there on the most important day of my life, which was giving birth to my baby boy. When me and my husband met Cara at our home, she was nothing short of amazing!! She made us feel so comfortable, was always available for me to call and message and she gave me so much information about how to keep active towards the end of my pregnancy with various techniques.Cara provided us with loads of books, guides and spoke to me about breastfeeding and what to expect postnatally that I felt so well informed. She listened to my birth preferences and knew exactly what I wanted and she sure did ensure my preferences were followed during labour. Cara helped me manage my physical pain very effectively with massages and mentally with communication. Having Cara there on the day I went into labour was very reassuring and comforting, she met us at our home and travelled with us to the hosptial. She was there throughout and when I gave birth, it didn’t feel like I had an extra external person there, it felt like I had a close friend who was on my side. Cara, my husband and I were a team. Cara even stayed in the hospital for some time after birth to support and completely went the extra mile when she volunteered and took the responsibility to send my placenta off to the company I used to make smoothies. We loved seeing Cara after giving birth too, she met us at our home again and it felt lovely to relive the birth with her and we are incredibly grateful for her support and presence on the day!!! We would highly, highly, highly recommend Cara!!! Thanks for everything!!!

S.A.’s Postnatal Testimonial
After our first conversation on the phone, I knew that Cara would be the perfect post-natal doula to support me as I navigated the new path of motherhood. Cara is so kind, empathic and warm.  She was incredibly supportive to me and also wonderful with my little boy. Cara helped me in so many ways. After an unplanned C birth and challenging labour, I really needed some time to process it and talk it through. Cara provided me with a safe space to do this. We also had a number of feeding challenges early on and Cara was such a brilliant and empathic support. She also shared some very useful resources for me to read / research further. In addition to these areas of support, Cara also attended a few personal medical appointments with me as well as a lactation consultant appointment. I highly recommend Cara’s post natal services.

R & R’s Birth Testimonial
I started looking for a Birth Doula during a very anxious pregnancy. Me and my partner had previously experienced the loss of two babies. Once we had assurance from our medical team that our third baby was healthy, we started to look at birth options. With our history of birth trauma, a Doula was an appealing idea. I found Cara online and after meeting her, felt that she was the right person for us. She was open to all birth options and understanding of our concerns. She was wonderful in helping us to remember our babies and our birth experiences with them, alongside preparing to birth our first living child. This was invaluable as we didn’t feel confident going into group birthing classes with our history and preferred learning from Cara in a private setting. Having her at the end of the phone for any questions we had was really reassuring. We are so grateful to have had Cara with us, supporting us during the birth of our double rainbow baby. I went into labour naturally, spent some time in labour in the maternity delivery suite, before deciding on a surgical belly birth. Cara helped empower me to have the birth I wanted, based on what was happening in the moment. She made sure the spaces were relaxing and organised and provided physical and emotional support throughout. My partner felt more relaxed having her there to look after both of us and appreciated her instinct, knowledge and experience. Having that level of consistent care made a huge difference to our birth experience. I highly recommend Cara.

M.K.’s Postnatal Testimonial
Cara fit seamlessly into our family, supporting us by being my extra pair of hands, able to take over either household chores or the baby (or both!) When she was with us, I was able to eat a home cooked meal without any crying in the background, shower, and feel taken care of. And my husband felt better about leaving us to go to work on those days. In some ways, it was more relaxing and helpful to have Cara than family, because she just knew what to do!

Kate & Rob Birth Testimonial
We had so many things that we wanted to say to you, and we would not have been able to fit this into a thank you card. When we first reached out to you, and spoke to you on the phone, we knew instantly that you were the perfect doula for us. As you know, we are both very in tune with energy, and your energy was always so calming and positive (we even felt this over the phone). You omit a calming presence when you are around and we felt this in our initial meeting. Not only did you take the time to listen and learn about us as a couple, you also understood us. We felt comfortable with you from our very first meeting and we were so happy that you were going to join us on our journey. You have been such a huge support to us throughout our pregnancy journey, by providing us with information for anything and everything. We loved knowing that you were available if we had any questions, or we just needed a sounding board or a second opinion. Your support truly has been invaluable. When it comes to thanking you for your support during the birth, we’re not sure where to start. We do not know how we would have navigated the turn of events, had you not been by our side and holding our hands throughout. Just having you present, made the experience a positive one for us. Although we didn’t get the home birth that we wanted, we know that Finlay’s birth was a success because everyone is safe and well. Throughout the labour, you were our rock and we knew that we could lean on you for emotional support as well as everything else. You took care of both of us in making sure that we were rested, fed and looked after. The massages and techniques that you used throughout the labour made such a difference to the sensations that Kate was feeling. You had so many tools in your kit for anything that arose, and it was a comfort to know that you were by our side. Neither of us would have been as relaxed about the whole experience, if you had not been present. If in the future we did decide to have another child, then there would be no doubts as to who we would reach out to. You are much loved by both of us. One day we will tell Finlay the tale of how he entered this world, and you will always be a major part of his story.Thank you for being our doula and friend, and for everything that you have done for us. We made a good decision for wanting a doula, and we made the best decision for contacting you. You are a truly special person, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Karlene’s Postnatal Testimonial
With my second pregnancy I knew instinctively that post birth would be different the second time round. I would have a toddler and a newborn. And although I was excited for the new addition to our family I knew I would need help in the first few days.Cara was she perfect person to help me transition to a mum of two. What I didn't expect to have was a C-section. And so Cara’s presence was even more appreciated. She was able to sooth my newborn, assist me with small but important tasks whilst I was bedbound and start the steps for me in my recovery. Knowing that I was in safe hands made the stress and mayhem of the first few days far easier.I would highly recommend Cara as a doula. The peace and serenity her presence had was exactly what I needed.

R.K.’s Birth Testimonial
Cara has a gentle, empathetic and nurturing spirit about her. She cares deeply and her passion for birth comes across quickly. She would always respond promptly and would go above and beyond to answer any questions or meet any information gaps I had. She’s also an excellent educator with very helpful resources. Cara asked great questions to facilitate understanding and to align expectations. I never felt like I couldn’t be “me” with her. I think because the 3 of us connected so well before birth, I was able to “shut off” and let the 2 of them navigate supporting me. I felt safe to ask for what I wanted and communicate what I didn’t want. I truly felt carried by them and like they had my back. My husband felt hugely supported by her as well. This was one of my biggest desires for labor - that he would feel empowered, respected and supported so that me and him could have a connecting experience around the delivery of our child.

Laura’s Postnatal Testimonial
After learning postnatal doula support was a thing (!) and following some reflection and discussion with my partner I decided to book Cara’s postnatal care package. I am so glad I did - Cara has a calming & positive aura that is perfect for a frazzled, newly postpartum mum and just having her there to help me out with my new baby, listen to me moan, or help out with the chores we were neglecting around the house was really invaluable. She helped me set up my breast pump, wore my baby so I could catch up on some much needed sleep and recommended local groups I could go to for feeding support. She is always on time and clearly loves what she does - my baby really enjoyed the cuddles and play time! We were quite sad to say goodbye when she left after our final session. I would happily recommend Cara for anyone wishing for a soothing presence for their postnatal care.

E.D.’s Birth Testimonial
My sons birth would have been a very different experience without Cara. Whilst preparing for the birth she didn’t want to change our opinion but deeply listened to us and supported us in a gentle way, in our choices. Even though she has a wealth of experience she didn’t in the slightest have a ‘know it all’ approach but kept an open mind throughout our conversations. We felt respected. My labour started fast and furious so we forgot the snacks at home when we headed to the hospital. All I craved for was cheese that of course no hospital vending machines would have. No hesitation - Cara went out and bought some which meant my partner could stay with me. Small things do matter- from back rubs, through pinning hair out of the face to encouraging smiles, Cara couldn’t have supported us better in those moments. My preference was to birth in the pool. Due to my long labour we had to move rooms a few times. Cara fought so hard each time so I could get in the water as quickly as possible. Her presence empowered us and meant that despite all the obstacles we felt we had a positive birth experience. We couldn’t be happier and would recommend Cara with all our hearts.

S.S’s Postnatal Testimonial
The support that Cara provided me was amazing, it far exceeded my expectations and helped us more than we could have ever imagined. From the day I met her, I knew I could hand her my newborn daughter and be confident that she was going to take care of her like her own child. Cara supported me emotionally and kept me company at home, which was exactly what I needed after my husband went back to work. Cara is very sweet and knowledgeable about how to care for a newborn, and I felt very confident and comfortable leaving my daughter in her care.

A.O.’s Birth Testimonial
My husband and I had the privilege of having Cara as our doula for our first pregnancy. We had recently moved to England from the United States, leaving all of our friends and family behind. Knowing we wouldn’t be able to have close support from them, we looked into the idea of having a doula. After having one meeting with her (and only her), we knew Cara was the one.Cara’s skills, and some of her best characteristics, go way beyond the impressive expertise listed on her resume. She is thoughtful, kind, caring, compassionate, empathetic, and strong. She is knowledgeable, understanding, nonjudgemental, and makes you feel heard. She is open, honest, loving, and warm. With knowing  Cara is all of those things and more, my husband and I felt more confident going into the birthing experience having her on our team. From the very beginning to the very end, Cara was a rock throughout the entire labor and birthing journey. She was our biggest advocate and biggest support. I truly can’t imagine the experience without her. My hope was to not request pain management throughout my labor but there was one point during contractions I was in so much pain I thought I was going to ask for it. However, Cara was able to physically support and lessen the most intense pain I’d ever had in my life. Through the short down time of my contractions, Cara was there through it all providing more pain management from what we had previously discussed through encouraging words, hand feeding me water and snacks, holding my hand, and having me breathe in scents of lavender. In addition to all of this, she was my spokesperson when I couldn’t speak. Cara seemed to have a natural instinct of just how and when to help. I largely attribute my positive birthing experience to her.Cara made an unsettling, nerve wracking, and life changing event much easier, less scary and truly joyful. Her support, love, knowledge, resourcefulness (and more) from prenatally to postnatally is absolutely invaluable.

L.M.’s Postnatal Testimonial
My amazing sisters gave me a voucher for
doula.co.uk and I’m so glad they did! I’m a first time geriatric mum (hate that phrase) and had prepared as much as possible for the birth of our baby. However the little one was breech so all plans for a natural delivery were postponed and a C-section was planned. And it was wonderful - very calm and very lovely. However on day two, we were back in hospital as our little girl had developed jaundice - with some low sugars and salt levels too, we were admitted to neo natal. It was a pretty dramatic 4 days and nights and being away from my girl that first night was traumatic. Once we got discharged and started to settle into regular family life, I realised I needed help. I reached out and met Cara. She came to our flat and I got to talk through the jaundice hospital visit. My sense of guilt at having caused it was greatly reduced by having a listening ear who understands births and women and ALL the emotions! Cara also helped with my breastfeeding latch which proved transformative on our breastfeeding journey. And then continued to provide ongoing support with great articles and books after our meeting. Although I’ve a brilliant and supportive husband as well as loving and caring family to help, I needed Cara to be the informed and unbiased listener to my story. After so many conflicting messages from a wealth of practitioners, Cara helped restore my faith in my own maternal instincts which had received quite a bashing.  And that is her super power - listening and restoring. I’m so incredibly thankful for her role in my birth as a mum, my only regret is not having had Cara’s support throughout my pregnancy.

N.T.’s Birth Testimonial
When I was in search of a doula and came across Cara, I felt like her profile spoke to me immediately. Cara's experience shows and I felt so much more confident about my birth choices once I hired her to be my doula. She supported me from my second trimester all the way through to after my son was born. She gave me exercises to do, books to read and videos to watch to help me feel empowered about my birth and breastfeeding. Cara is empathic and an incredible listener and remembered everything I wanted in my birth plan and ensured my requests were adhered to when I was in labour and couldn't do so myself. I wouldn't have had the birth I wanted without her support and if we do decide to have another baby, I would ask Cara to be my doula again without a shadow of a doubt.

O.L.’s Birth Testimonial
Cara was empathetic, reliable, very kind and supportive. She was by my side when and how I really needed. I had a great birth experience thanks to her.She helped me with preparation for the birth and in our postnatal sessions, she filled me with precious tips and helped with all my needs. She was also great support regarding breastfeeding. I would recommend her to anyone!

C.H.’s Birth Testimonial
Cara was very supportive of our situation. She came to hospital appointments in London, she came to scans locally and in London, she visited the house many times and really got to know us. She made us feel so special and so important. She was always on the end of the phone and we don’t know what we would have done without her. She’s a special spirit who is always there and never ever lets you down. Throughout birth she made it feel special and she gave my husband and I all the reassurance we needed to get through a traumatic time. Cara attended Hypnobirthing with us which was also fantastic. We ended up having to go through a long labour and a c-section but she gave us all the positive energy we needed and she got us through. We couldn’t have done without her energy and positivity. She has given us a lovely memory of what otherwise could have been remembered as a traumatic day! We are forever grateful Cara is bubbly, upbeat, kind, selfless, compassionate, empathetic & caring. I feel like she’s family now.

Mama, West London’s Birth Testimonial
Cara was truly everything you’d want the best birth partner to be: a great listener, supporter, mothering, intuitive, loving and dedicated.Cara is warm, kind, instantly makes you comfortable around her and was dedicated, taking notes from the moment we met, listening to all my needs, giving great advice, sign posting me when I needed it. Cara was remarkable, right there by my side through a very long active labour making it the best experience ever and looked after my son like her own. If I was to go through it all again, it would be a no brainier to call Cara, wouldn’t need anyone else. Thank you for everything.

F.C.‘s Birth Testimonial
“I first thought about getting a doula because we knew my husband wouldn’t be able to be with me at the birth and I wanted someone there to be able to communicate my wishes effectively whilst I was found  on labouring. I found Cara and we met soon after initial contact, after lots of really warm and friendly text messages. Cara met my whole family and was so wonderful to my older children which was my first sign she was the person for me. She was attentive, open, caring and calm. Exactly what I would need when I gave birth. I talked to Cara for hours over two other meetings about every single possible eventuality and she noted everything down and committed it to memory as if it was going to be her own experience. Cara could not have been more supportive in the run up to the birth and made me feel so special. On the day she was by my side offering support I’ll never, ever forget. She made sure all my wishes were seen through when I was not able to communicate in any other way than nods and grimaces. Because of her, and only because of her, my daughter and I experienced the perfect birth. That really is all you need to know. Having Cara by your side will empower you more than you can imagine and put the whole experience on a new level. This is a woman who genuinely wants you to feel amazing and will make your world a better place while you get to know each other. You won’t regret having a doula at your next birth, I promise. And Cara is the one to chose. If I have another baby I can’t imagine going into labour without her encouragement and care. She was my rock.”

T.S.’s Birth Testimonial
I have to be honest, I had not heard of a doula before becoming pregnant. My midwife suggested it to me as I was a little anxious with the whole "giving birth" process!I wasn't sure if adding a stranger to the mix was going to help with any of this, however after meeting Cara my husband and I knew it was a step in the right direction.Cara will support and provide you with as much information as you need to make the right decisions for you and your baby. There is never any pressure or opinions offered to take a certain direction. All decisions are yours and she will support you.On the actual day, Cara was amazing and my husband was appreciative of the extra support (and spare pair of hands)!Cara brings a lovely calm manner to situations and was readily available to offer advice when requested. It was also nice to know that someone is ensuring, where possible, that your birth preferences are being followed, as in the moment it really is the last thing you are thinking about!I really could go on and on about the benefits of having Cara involved in your journey, she is a wonderful, caring lady.Thank you Cara for assisting us in growing our family!

C.R.R.’s Birth Testimonial
I initially wanted a doula for extra support as I was anxious about birth and hospitals. From my initial phone call with Cara she was empathetic and understanding, I felt immediately reassured and her passion shone through. Before even meeting her I knew she was the right Doula for us! Unfortunately, I ended up being very unwell during pregnancy and Cara’s support was invaluable, I gained so much more than just the reassurance I was after. It was such an uncertain time, from 30 weeks I could have given birth at anytime. Cara just went with the flow, was very flexible, always responded promptly to messages and regularly checked in with me. Despite me not having a “normal” pregnancy, having Cara made it feel just like anybody else’s. We did a birth plan and she listened to my fears and worries and I knew I could trust her to get my wishes across on the day . By the time it got to my induction at 36 weeks,  I felt connected to, and safe with Cara, which was so important to me . I found Cara to have a calm energy that felt reassuring which was perfect during labour. I am so grateful to have had such a positive birth experience after a traumatic pregnancy.
