Hi, I'm Cat, a Doula UK recognised Postnatal Doula and Hypnobirthing Facilitator based in Guildford, Surrey and mum to 2 boys.
As your postnatal doula I will support, reassure and encourage you and your family in the early weeks and months after your baby is born as we work together as a team.
Welcoming a new baby is a truly transformative time and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're preparing for your first child or adding to a growing family, my goal is to help make your journey into parenthood as smooth and joyful as possible. I offer compassionate, practical, and flexible support tailored to your needs; available through ad hoc visits or regular weekly sessions. Whether your baby is brand new or a little older, I’m happy to be part of your parenting journey; for a few weeks right up to one year postpartum.
I bring a supportive, non-judgmental presence to your parenting journey, because I truly believe you are the expert when it comes to your baby. My role is to walk alongside you, offering gentle suggestions drawn from years of personal experience, professional training, and the privilege of supporting many families over the years. Whether you're seeking reassurance, practical tips, or simply someone who understands, I'm here to help you feel confident and empowered.
My postnatal support is designed to meet the unique needs of your family, offering a wide range of practical and nurturing care. Whether you're breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or a combination of both, I’m here to support you with infant feeding in a way that feels right for you. I can gently carry your baby in a sling while I take care of household tasks; giving you the chance to rest, recharge, or simply enjoy a moment to yourself, knowing your little one is safe and comforted. I’m also happy to take your baby out in their buggy, accompany you to appointments, prepare meals, help with laundry, change beds, and assist with any other household jobs or life admin you’d like a hand with. Every family is different, and my support is always flexible and tailored to fit your lifestyle and preferences.
I’ll be a calm, reassuring presence in your home; someone you can talk to openly, lean on, and trust. Whether you need a listening ear, a confidante, or simply someone cheering you on, I’ll be right there beside you. I’ll walk this journey with you, offering steady support and gentle guidance, until the moment you feel ready to take the next steps on your own.

If you're still reading here (thank you!), I've written a little more information about me below:-
As a mother of two boys, I know just how busy a parent's life can be and understand the daily juggles we all face. I live in Guildford with my family and enjoy running, cycling, yoga, swimming and paddleboarding. I’m compassionate, empathetic, outgoing, caring, reliable, and cheerful with a positive mindset.
I have a thirst for knowledge about the postpartum period and haven't stopped reading and learning since I finished my initial training in 2020 with Developing Doulas. As your postnatal doula I will be there with you to ease your transition and help you to have a positive experience during this magical but often overwhelming time as a new family. I will support and encourage you and your family in the early weeks after your birth as we work together as a team. I will walk the journey with you and hold your hand until you no longer need me. I come with no advice or judgement. You are the expert of your baby. I can offer helpful suggestions based on years of experience with my own children and the many clients I've worked with along the way as well as all the training I have undertaken. I will hear you, be intuitive to your individual needs, reassure you and help you by providing practical and emotional support as well as provide you with evidence-based information as you adjust to your new life.
Every family and every baby is different and you have to find the right path for you. I will simply be there to hold your hand and help you navigate the twists and turns. The fourth trimester is a time for you to recover after birth, a time to get to know your new baby, bond, rest, recuperate, adjust to your new life and take time to breathe and be nurtured. You deserve to be supported throughout this time by someone who cares, listens and holds space for all you are going through. I will help with whatever you feel will be most beneficial and aim to leave you feeling rested and confident.
On my own journey into motherhood I learned the huge value of self-care and how just 5 minutes slots dotted throughout the day can do wonders and is critical in helping you enjoy this time with your little one. I will be able to provide practical tips and tricks to sneak these moments into your everyday life and establish a healthy and positive wellbeing routine.
My role as your doula covers many different aspects and the support you need will probably change from day to day. I will be totally flexible to your individual family needs and my focus will be on you.
I trained with Developing Doulas in 2020 but prior to that had been supporting families with the Charity, Home Start for a year in a voluntary capacity. Whilst undertaking this work, I realised just how much new families need that little bit of extra help during those early weeks and beyond and this inspired me to explore the doula training course. I haven't looked back!
Please get in touch to find out more and I look forward to hearing from you.
