Catrine Rogers

Birth Doula & Postnatal Doula

You’re expecting a baby. Brilliant! And now you might be wondering… what on earth happens next? Whether you’re feeling excited, overwhelmed, quietly terrified, or all of the above (often at the same time), you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Hello — I’m Catrine, and I support families before, during and after birth, with a particular focus on postnatal care. I’m a postnatal doula, reflexologist, compassionate hypnobirthing teacher, and mum to two pretty amazing daughters. I’m also deeply passionate about reproductive rights, inclusivity, and supporting families to feel informed, held and respected.
I also love sci-fi films. No judgement please — I’m a nerd and proud.

If you’d told my younger self I’d be working in the birth world, I would have laughed. The idea of having children absolutely terrified me. But when I became pregnant in my thirties, I knew instinctively that I needed support.

Hypnobirthing changed everything for me. I gave birth to my eldest in hospital in 2014 and my youngest at home in 2017, both using hypnobirthing. Those experiences were positive, empowering and genuinely life-changing — and they set me on the path to supporting other families through this intense, beautiful, messy transition into parenthood.

Since then, I’ve trained as a postnatal doula with Leila Baker on the Side by Side Doula training course, and completed the Younique Postnatal Planning workshop with Sarah Tessier, which I now offer as a standalone service or alongside hypnobirthing support.

I’ve also been a reflexologist for over 20 years and a hypnobirthing teacher for eight years, and I bring this holistic, body-aware approach into my postnatal work. I know — personally and professionally — how powerful it can be to feel listened to, informed, and gently supported during recovery and early parenthood.

During lockdown, this work became even more clearly my calling. Supporting families as they find their feet, regain confidence, and feel less alone during the postnatal period is work I care deeply about.

How I support families

As a postnatal doula, I offer calm, practical and emotional support tailored to you and your family. This might include:

  • Emotional holding and reassurance
  • Newborn care support
  • Time and space for rest and recovery
  • Light household help (meals, laundry, keeping things ticking over)
  • Support with older siblings
  • Signposting to trusted local services
  • A non-judgemental, steady presence during a big life change

I’m currently offering postnatal doula support in person, and virtual birth support for families who would like preparation, reassurance and continuity without in-person attendance.

For your peace of mind, I have:

  • An up-to-date DBS check
  • Paediatric first aid
  • Full insurance
  • Experience supporting families using Carrot and Bupa health insurance policies

Above all, I believe that when people are given time, information, and compassionate support, their experience of birth and early parenthood can shift profoundly.

What families have said about working with me

'Catrine has been a godsend from day 1 and we feel so lucky to have found her to support us postnatally.
She has been absolutely brilliant at helping with daily chores and looking after all of us (including my very energetic 4yro) so that I could focus on bed rest and recovery with my newborn.'

'She is a natural at her doula role, with her kind, gentle and nurturing nature. Nothing is ever too much trouble and she is full of knowledge on a whole spectrum of topics.'

'I wholeheartedly recommend Catrine to new mums/mums-to-be, you will never regret the extra support during the life-changing phase of having a baby!'
