I’m fanatical about supporting families before, during and after birth. I’m passionate about reproductive rights and inclusivity. And I also love sci-fi films. Don’t judge me! I’m a nerd and proud!
Nice to meet you, I’m Catrine & I’m here to help you on your journey from pregnancy to parenthood.
How? Well, I’m a postnatal doula, reflexologist, compassionate hypnobirthing teacher, a mum to two pretty amazing daughters & a general birth/birthing person/women’s rights nut.
To be honest, if you’d asked me if I’d be working in the birth world when I was younger, I would’ve laughed. The very thought of having children was terrifying to me. Then I got pregnant in my thirties & I knew I needed some help!
Thankfully hypnobirthing came to the rescue and I gave birth to my eldest in 2014 in hospital and my youngest at home in 2017 both using hypnobirthing. Both my birth experiences were amazing, life changing & positive so since I had my last baby I have trained to support other families during this crazy, exciting time.
During lockdown I realised even more, that working with families on their journey to parenthood was a real passion.
I have been lucky enough to train as a postnatal doula with doula Leila Baker on her Side by Side Doula training course.
Added to this I have completed the Younique Postnatal Planning workshop with Sarah Tessier and now offer this as a bolt on service to my hypnobirthing course or as a stand alone workshop.
I’ve always had a great interest in holistic therapies and have been a reflexologist for over 20 years, a hypnobirthing teacher for seven years and I know how these therapies can help from my own experience.
It never ceases to amaze me when people’s perception of birth & parenthood changes simply though getting informed and listening to your fears.
For your complete peace of mind I have an up to date DBS check, paediatric first aid qualification and I am fully insured.
Here's what one of my clients has said about working with me:
Catrine has been a godsend from day 1 and we feel so lucky to have found her to support us postnatally.
She has been absolutely brilliant at helping with daily chores like cooking and cleaning, and looking after all of us (including my very energetic 4yro) so that I could focus on bed rest and recovery with my newborn.
She is a natural at her doula role, with her kind, gentle and nurturing nature. Nothing is ever too much trouble and she is full of knowledge on a whole spectrum of topics.
I wholeheartedly recommend Catrine to new mums/mums-to-be, you will never regret the extra support during the life-changing phase of having a baby!
