About Me
Hello there and congratulations on your pregnancy or birth of your baby ! Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I have three wonderful boys 22, 20 and a 17years old. I live in the triangle to cover Suffolk ,Cambridgeshire, Essex . I have aways been intrested in pregnancy and childbirth and often thought of becoming a midwife. However, different situations in my life kept me away from that path and then I became a very busy mother, bringing up my three boys. I was determined to enjoy the magical years watching them growing up as I was aware of how quickly those years would pass. I am now very excited to be able to return to my passion to support women and their families during the childbearing years as a Recognised Birth and Postnatal Doula. I attended the BirthBliss Academic Doula course by the wonderful award winning Kicki Hansard who is such an inspiration to all Doulas. It was an incredible course and I am now following my dream to support mothers and their families durning pregnancy, birth and postnatal period. All my three boys’ births were very different, just like all births are and I know it can be an exciting time. I also know that it can be a time full of apprehension and confusion. I am here to support you (and your partner) through this incredible time in your life when having someone there to rely on, who can reassure and support you will make a difference. If only I had known about doulas when I was pregnant and having my children! My Role is to offer emotional, practical support, as well as helping you look for information so that you can make informed choices in birth and beyond. In these uncertain Covid times I support and navigate you through these difficult times nurturing you all the way through. I offer virtual contact too. You will not feel isolated and alone. I am fully vaccinated too and can also offer virtual support . I do not offer medical advice but I will help you understand the different options available to you. I would love to hear from you, even if it is just for a chat with any questions you have and I’d be very happy to share more about the private individualised service I can provide.
