I've spent over two decades working in maternity care - as a nurse, a midwife, a lecturer, and eventually as an independent midwife.
I've had the privilege of supporting families through the most extraordinary and beautiful moments of their lives.
Somewhere along the way, I fell completely in love with a different kind of care.
Doula care.
Because doula support allows me to be present with you in a way that NHS clinical care rarely allows. No handovers. No shift changes. No system to answer to. Just me, beside you, for your whole journey.
My background means I understand the clinical world you may be navigating, and I can help you feel informed, prepared, and truly seen within it - without ever overstepping my role as your doula.
In 2025, I was proud to receive the GHP Healthcare Award for Best Personalised Maternity Care in South East England - a reminder of why this work is so important and matters so much to me.
I'm also a wife, a mum to four teenagers (including non-identical twins), and we share our home in Chelmsford, Essex with our two rescue dogs, Coco and Pepper who love a big muddy walk in our local woods.
I absolutely love a vegetarian curry and movie night, you will also often find me with my nose in a birthy book and I’m a hand cream and scented candle aficionado!
If you're looking for someone who will hold your hand, hold your space and hold the knowledge - you can book a discovery call on my website and I'd love to chat to you.
