Mentored Birth Doula & Mentored Postnatal Doula

Hello, I'm Chloe, a birth & postnatal doula and perinatal pilates instructor based in North London, covering London and surrounding areas. I offer nourishing, authentic support from pregnancy through to postpartum and beyond.

Please get in touch via WhatsApp, email or my website as the Doula UK form doesn't always work.

Hello, I'm Chloe - a birth & postnatal doula, as well as perinatal pilates instructor, covering London and beyond. I'm so glad you've come across my profile and considered booking a doula - I'd love to accompany you in this whirlwind journey to welcoming your baby.

I've always been an advocate for women's health from my own experiences to those around me, it's becoming more important than ever to receive extra care and support when navigating our maternity systems. In many cultures, birth and postpartum are sacred and valued transformations. In the UK, this often isn't the case - left to our own devices, we're not given the tools needed to thrive.

Being a doula means holding space for your experiences and accompanying you through this vulnerable, intense and miraculous time. I offer evidence-based support and empower you to make informed decisions when it comes to your perinatal care.

Birth Support

From pregnancy through to postpartum, I'll be there to support you and your family. You can find my packages on my website, but I've also listed out what you can expect below.

What's included:

  • At least two antenatal sessions where I will visit you at home or a preferred meeting location to discuss your birth plan and preferences, liasing with Healthcare Professionals and provide any resources you may need.
  • Unlimited contact during business hours: You will get unlimited access to WhatsApp support and emails throughout your final weeks of pregnancy and up to 6 weeks postpartum during business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm) unless urgent.
  • Tools and resources: You will receive access to my resource library with guidance on labour, birth and postpartum, and navigating maternal pathways with ease.
  • On-Call support: We will agree when I go on-call for you, which means I am available to text, call and email 24/7 when you need me for your birth. Usually I will go on-call from weeks 38-42, and attend the birth once you are in established labour.
  • One postpartum session following your birth, within the first few weeks.

Postnatal support

Postnatal support means ensuring you are well looked-after as you adapt to parenthood. Everyone's journey is different and so there is no set formula for what postnatal sessions 'should be', however I've listed out a few things that might be involved.

  • Listening without agenda; you set the tone for each postnatal session
  • Supporting you with emotional, informational and practical support during the postpartum period
  • Evidence-based information and signposting on infant feeding, recovery, and sleep
  • De-briefing your birth experience
  • Practical help so that you can rest, recover, and bond with your baby such as help with household tasks
  • Signposting to relevant specialists or services
  • Ensuring you are well nourished by providing cooked meals and snacks; I love to leave you with a full freezer
  • Support with infant care and establishing breastfeeding or chestfeeding
  • Supporting your partner’s transition too
  • Watching baby while you catch up on sleep or whatever you need
  • Support with siblings

About me

My background spans biomedical sciences, the Tech world and perinatal pilates, where I teach parent and baby pilates from my London Fields studio @starrstudiouk. Perinatal pilates teaching especially has introduced me to the power of community and creating warm spaces for parents to breathe, connect with their bodies and feel strong.

I can support you with birth preparation, finding your voice in making birth decisions, holistic postpartum care and looking after your baby in ways that support you both. As an avid baker, you can expect delicious treats and nutritious meals designed for your needs. I also have an interest in helping business owners and women in high-pressure careers navigate the identity shift into motherhood.

In my spare time you might find me making celebration cakes, running, or pottering about in my garden with a book or knit in-hand. I have two orange cats, Apricot and Ember, that rule the house me and my husband live in.
