About Me
Hello!
I’m Claire, a Certified Postnatal Doula living in Tring, Hertfordshire with my husband and two young daughters.
Congratulations on your pregnancy, or if you’re a parent already, congratulations on your new arrival(s)!
Becoming a parent is a life changing experience, one that can be exciting and empowering, but one that might also find you feeling anxious and overwhelmed, alongside a host of other emotions. It’s normal to feel this way, I know I certainly did!
As a postnatal doula I am here to help alleviate those anxieties and support you towards a positive postnatal experience and a calm, confident and enjoyable start to parenthood. Whether you’re a first-time parent, or you’ve been here before, whatever your choices or challenges, I am here to support you every step of the way.
I am here to offer you practical and emotional support, alongside gentle encouragement, and guidance as you find your own path into parenthood. I will help you to have confidence in trusting your own instincts and support you, without judgement, in making the right choices for you and your family.
I believe strongly in the power of personalised care and support and offer bespoke postnatal doula support services, including overnight care, that are tailored to your own unique choices and needs. I also offer specialised support for NICU babies and their families.
Our youngest daughter was born prematurely, at 30 weeks and spent the first two months of her life in hospital. It was a challenging and life changing experience. I was lucky to have some amazing support but looking back now I realise that even with this support, those early days were tough – tougher than they needed to be. In hindsight, we should have hired a postnatal doula, but isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing!
I am grateful for my experience though as it became my own inspiration for becoming a doula. My motivation to support you is fuelled by my passion of knowing and understanding the benefits of personalised care and support when you need it most. It is important to remember that when a baby is born so too is a mother and that you too need care, love, and support and that with this, you can thrive!
I would love to be your calming and reassuring support on this journey into parenthood – please get in touch to find out more. I am fully insured and DBS checked and also hold a certificate in paediatric first aid.
I look forward to hearing from you!
