About Me
Hey, thanks for taking a moment to read a little more about me and how I can support you during your pregnancy or postpartum phases.
I’m Claire and I run The Muma Hub. I became passionate about supporting women and their families after the birth of my second baby. It was only then that I realised just how little I knew about birth with my first and how, with a bit of knowledge and self belief, my experience could have been very different. Second time around I wasn’t taking any chances. Understanding more about the physiological process of birth, learning to connect to my breath, relax my mind and body and follow my instincts enabled me to have a truly empowering labour and one that would subsequently change the course of my career.
Since then I’ve gone on to support many women. I am in awe of the physiological and emotional processes that women embark upon as they enter motherhood. My aim is to support you to make the best decisions for your birth, your baby and your postpartum phase, whilst having confidence in doing so. I believe that birth preparation is holistic and that with knowledge, support and an understanding that although an extraordinary event, women all over the world give birth everyday and I can help you to trust your own innate ability to do the same.
In my role as your birth doula, I would support you to understand the phases of labour and the power of connecting to your breath. I would signpost you to evidence based information, in order to help you plan for a positive experience. However, I am well aware that the journey to birth isn’t always smooth, so our antenatal sessions will look at alternatives to plan A, so we are both prepared. We’ll chat through comfort measures, relaxation techniques and discuss your chosen birth environment. I have myself birthed, on a labour ward, in a maternity led unit and at home and am happy to support you in any environment that feels comfortable for you.
Supporting new mothers and their babies brings me so much joy and my love for this work just grows with every experience I have. My role as your postnatal doula covers everything from debriefing your birth, holding baby whilst you shower or just take some time for you to more practical support like meal prep, laundry or a general kitchen clean to take that domestic element off your plate.
I’ve breastfed all three of my children for various amounts of time. I exclusively expressed with my second as she was born with a cleft palate, so I understand the difficulties women face and the emotional trauma they experience when feeding doesn’t go the way they hope. I am a trained breastfeeding supporter with The Mindful Breastfeeding School, so my support offers emotional wellbeing tools that work alongside the practical breastfeeding supportive measures.
I have experience attending births at Frimley Park labour ward and The Mulbery Birth Centre and live less that 5 minutes away. I have also attended births at St Peters, The Royal Hampshire and also home birth environments.
I am a qualified Hypnobirthing Instructor with The Little Birth Company and have recently qualified as a Breathwork Facilitator with The Breathe Training School, specialising in nervous system regulation and emotional healing.
Whether its birth or postpartum support you need, you can rest assured I will do my upmost to be by your side when you need me.
If you would like to chat further, please get in touch.

“After my birth circumstances changed we approached Claire to be our doula. We had previously experienced a loss and a traumatic experience postnatally, whilst under the care of Frimley Park Hospital, so I was so was carrying a huge amount of fear into this birth. Claire listened without judgement and signposted me to get further support via someone she knew that did the three step rewind programme. During our birth she was empathetic, kind and also gave me the encouragement I needed at times when I felt I couldn’t continue. She said and did exactly what I needed, when I needed it without me asking.”
