Hello, my name is Dawn, I live in Salisbury in a lively house with my cocker spaniel Maverick and 2 lovely boys (10 & 12 years). I am outdoorsy and love nothing more than walking dogs or riding a horse through the Wiltshire countryside.
My journey into the birth world began 13 years ago when I started trying to grow my own family. After experiencing several losses, I was eventually blessed with two wonderful wild boys. I now also have two stepdaughters and have worked with countless families of all shapes and sizes.
I am deeply passionate about supporting families as they navigate pregnancy, birth, early postnatal days and everything that comes with raising children in a modern world. I am especially aligned with those who have limited support networks or facing unique challenges.
I bring a blend of lived experience, professional expertise and academic training, including:
- BSc Psychology
- Introduction to Counselling Skills
- FDa Birth & Beyond (NCT) – breastfeeding counselling & antenatal practitioner training
- Birth & Postnatal Doula (Nurturing Birth)
- 1st year Midwifery training
- Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Counselling Skills (Prince’s Trust)
- Fully insured & DBS checked
I am primarily available for postnatal doula support, and occasionally when timing aligns, as a birth doula. Alongside doula work, I support several families as an early-years nanny and volunteer as a student counsellor.
In addition, I also offer a range of therapeutic services to support emotional wellbeing through fertility, pregnancy, birth and beyond, including:
- Fertility and loss
- Fear or birth recovery
- Relationship or identity changes in parenthood
- Rebuilding confidence and self-esteem
- Navigating the return to work
I would be honoured to support you and your family wherever you are on your journey.
