I am the proud mother of five adult children, aged between 29 and 35. I live in Epsom, Surrey with my family and love to cook healthy food, eat, exercise and read (for fun and to keep up to date with all things birth and parenting related). I have always had an insatiable interest in all things maternity and baby and before starting my family, I worked for many years as an au-pair in London. I am passionate about supporting women and their partners in this wonderful and rewarding journey of parenthood. I am open-minded and pride myself on my warm and easy-going nature. My priority is making you happy and I aim to support you every step of the way (every tiny step together!). After having five very different births, one of which I felt was quite traumatic, I decided to train as a doula so that I could help a woman to never feel as deflated as I did after this particular birth. I want to listen to a family so that they feel empowered and have the confidence, the voice and the courage to have the pregnancy and birth of their choice.
As your Birth Doula I will be there to nurture and support you so that you feel empowered to make informed decisions regarding maternity care. My goal is for you to trust your own instincts. We will take ‘tiny steps together’ to achieve the most positive birth, so that you may continue into parenthood with confidence and wisdom. I will visit you twice antenatally, listening without judgement to your wishes on what your ideas of an ideal birth experience would be. I will come to you as soon as you need me to give you support for the whole of your birth, staying with you until you have had your glorious golden hour. I will visit you once more once you are settled at home, to make sure that you feel confident and comfortable with your new family dynamic.
As your Postnatal Doula my goal is to make this transition into parenthood as calm and stress free as possible. I aim to do this by nurturing, encouraging, and supporting you in any way that you see fit. This could be: supporting you in your feeding choices, helping with housework, making you healthy, nutritious food, looking after siblings or watching baby, so that you can rest, nap, relax in a warm bubble bath or just leave the house for a bit of fresh air. It is totally your decision. I am completely flexible. This will all ensure that you feel calm, energised and rested, so that you can concentrate on creating a beautiful bonding space with your new baby and thoroughly enjoy your babymoon experience. I am dedicated to continuously furthering my knowledge so that I am able to fully support families within every area of pregnancy, childbirth and ‘the fourth trimester’, postpartum. I am always open to new ideas and eager to learn new things.
I have just finished the 'Breastfeeding Buddy Course' with Developing Doulas. This course was great as I now feel confident in helping new parents with basic breastfeeding issues, such as positioning. I have completed the ‘3 Step Rewind Process Training Course’. This course will enable me to delve deeper and be able to help someone who has had a traumatic birth or feeding experience. To assist this process even further I have also read the incredible and insightful book 'Listening Helpfully' by Jeanne Ellin. I have also completed a ‘rebozo course’ with the wonderful Sophie Messager. This course taught me how to use different techniques to help give comfort and support to a person in labour using a traditional rebozo Mexican scarf. I completed my preparation doula course with the wonderful Maddie McMahon of Developing Doulas (author of Why Doulas Matter).
If you think that I sound like the doula you are looking for, please visit my website and do not hesitate to contact me with any enquiries. I am always happy to listen.

I contacted Debi for help with my twin babies and 3 year old while my husband was abroad. I had used a doula previously when the twins were born so had fair expectations however Debi was something else, honestly like a fairy godmother. She is so incredibly efficient, hard working and so kind and caring with babies and children alike. She would be feeding and burping a baby then before I could say anything the dishwasher would be unloaded, kitchen cleaned and bottles sterilised, she literally never stopped for a second! I didnt want her to ever leave! If you're in doubt about booking, do it! I know it will be impossible to ever find a better doula than her. Thank you so much Debi xx

Debi is wonderful. We feel so lucky to have found her and truly feel that she has become part of our family. She came to us at one of the hardest times of our lives and provided us with everything we could need. Love, support, guidance, kindness and practical help. Our baby was quite poorly, needing feeding and breathing tubes along with a 24 hour monitor - Debi took it all in her stride, she was kind and calm, never overwhelmed, helped us find solutions, was incredibly efficient around the house and provided me with support emotionally and physically looking after our baby, toddler, dog and myself! I cannot recommend her highly enough. We will never forget what she did for us. Both what a fantastic, efficient, proactive and proficient job helping us with our baby and house but also the loving, gentle, kindness she brought to our family. Thank you Debi!! xxx

Debi helped me when my daughter was a few months old. She also did day to day tasks around the house and really looked after me! She had such a wonderful way with my daughter that I instantly felt comfortable leaving her in charge. She has so much experience with children that it instantly put me at ease and I would highly recommend her.

There were moments during the first three months of my daughter’s life when I found myself wondering if Debi was, in fact, an angel sent to save me and my partner from the brink of exhaustion. She is so brilliant at what she does – so caring, so hardworking, so astonishingly efficient, I couldn’t quite believe she was real.
She showed me and my daughter as much love as you’d expect from a close family member, and supported us in countless ways during those gruelling new-born days. We feel so lucky to have had her.
If you’re thinking of hiring Debi, my advice is to book her for longer than you think you’ll need her because once she starts, you’ll want her to stay forever.

Debi is the most wonderful doula. She is kind, caring and thoughtful. She is so proactive that she does things before I even think to ask her to and seems to know exactly what I need before I even need it! She has been a blessing to my family and I would not have got through those tricky months postpartum without her support, guidance and care. Any family would be very fortunate to have her in their lives. I only wish we could have kept her forever!
Gemma | October 2020 - May 2021
Debi is utterly wonderful! She helped us from when our son was just 6 days old. Debi is a fantastic doula. From being extremely caring, kind and full of expertise, we couldn’t fault her. Debi guided us through the new born phase with lots of patience and understanding.
If we ever had another baby we would book her in after the pregnancy test :)
She is worth every penny and more!
Mia | July 2020 I contacted Debi as I was worried that my baby was feeding too often, so maybe not getting enough breast milk and still hungry. Because of corona virus, she could not visit, so she organised a live Zoom session. She was so easy to talk to, that we ended up being on the zoom call for over an hour. She listened to me and we ended up discussing my labour, slings, my birth plan, baby massage, co-sleeping, dummies, tongue tie, baby blues and sepsis. The whole time I felt really listened to and supported. She gave me her full attention. Once the call had finished, Debi texted me straight away with links and websites to different things we had discussed like tongue tie and baby massage. She also messaged me two days later to see how I was getting on. I would thoroughly recommend Debi. She was warm, knowledgeable, and so helpful.
Sara | September/October 2020
Debi provided postnatal support to my family over a 6 week period. She is an incredibly kind, sensitive, empathetic, warm and hardworking individual. She is genuinely very caring and being a mother of 5, very good with children. She absolutely surpassed our expectations, really going above and beyond what we had hoped. She was kind and accepting, and listened to me without judgement. She is so organised, and made me feel so much more able to cope! Debi also developed a wonderful rapport with my children… my 18 month old seemed to adore her. She has been a Godsend and a privilege to know!
