About Me

Hi I’m Doreen Munroe, as a Doula I’d love to join you on your journey to motherhood. I’d love to offer you support so that you have a positive antenatal, birthing and postnatal experience and can enjoy that Brave Art of Motherhood – even on the hard days. I want you to know that on this journey into motherhood, whether it be for the first time or the umpteenth time, you are not alone, and I would count it a privilege to accompany you on that journey.

I have plenty of experience around birthing mums, as I have attended several births including C-Sections, Water birth, forceps assisted and natural births, and each time I have been honoured to be a part of the journey these mums have been on. I have also been very involved in supporting women during their postnatal period, encouraging them whether they have chosen to breast feed or bottle feed. The early days can be stressful for new mums and so I am always at the end of the phone for those times when encouragement is needed or questions need answered.

Recently I have been involved postnataly with twins who were born at 32 weeks, spent 5 weeks in NICU and are now thriving and breast feeding well, this has been a tough journey for the parents but very rewarding for me to be a part of their journey.

As well as providing Doula support I also run Hynobirthing classes to help enable families to experience the calm and relaxed birth they desire. I also run Baby Massage classes and am a qualified First Aid trainer – willing to demonstrate the skills needed for CPR or choking etc to my clients.
