I have spent many years supporting families as a Maternity Practitioner and newborn care specialist, caring for newborn babies and supporting parents throughout the postpartum period. My work has always extended beyond newborn care to include emotional support, practical help and reassurance as parents adjust to life with their baby.
Becoming a Postnatal Doula felt like a natural progression. I believe every family deserves to feel listened to, cared for and supported as they find their own way into family life.
Caring for babies and supporting their parents isn’t just a job to me; it’s something I genuinely love. No two families are the same, and that’s one of the things I enjoy most about my work. I love getting to know each family, listening to what matters most to them and tailoring my support to their individual needs.
For me, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing parents grow in confidence and watching families flourish together. Helping families feel rested, supported and able to enjoy those precious first weeks with their baby is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
As a mother of two, including a son with additional needs, I understand that every family’s journey is unique. My own experiences, together with supporting families with a wide range of needs, have given me a deep appreciation of the importance of patience, kindness, flexibility and meeting people where they are, without judgement.
I specialise in overnight postnatal support, providing nurturing newborn care while creating the space for parents to rest, recover and recharge.
At the beginning and end of each session, I make time to sit down with you, check in with you, answer any questions and offer reassurance. During the night, I’m also happy to help with practical tasks related to your baby and postnatal recovery, including preparing feeds, sterilising bottles and feeding equipment, washing baby clothes, tidying your baby’s space and supporting feeding where needed. My aim is to make life a little easier while you focus on your recovery and enjoy getting to know your new baby.
Whether you’re looking for overnight support so you can catch up on much-needed sleep, practical newborn care, reassurance as you find your feet or simply someone to listen, I’m here to support you with warmth, compassion and respect.
My aim is simple: to help parents feel rested, confident and cared for, so they can enjoy those precious early weeks with their baby. Building trusting relationships with families is at the heart of everything I do.
