About Me
I have spent over 20 years working with children and supporting families, with the past five years dedicated exclusively to postnatal and newborn care as a Maternity Practitioner and Newborn Care Specialist. My work has always extended beyond caring for newborn babies to include emotional support, practical help and reassurance as parents adjust to life with their baby.
Becoming a Postnatal Doula felt like a natural progression. I believe every family deserves to feel listened to, cared for and supported as they find their own way into family life.
Caring for babies and supporting their parents isn’t just a job to me; it’s something I genuinely love. No two families are the same, and I enjoy getting to know each family, listening to what matters most to them and tailoring my support to their individual needs.
For me, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing parents grow in confidence and watching families flourish together. Helping families feel rested, supported and able to enjoy those precious first weeks with their baby is one of the things I value most about my work.
As a mother of two, including a son with additional needs, my own experiences, together with supporting families with a wide range of needs, have given me a deep appreciation of the importance of patience, kindness, flexibility and meeting people where they are, without judgement.
I specialise in overnight postnatal support, providing nurturing newborn care while creating the space for parents to rest, recover and recharge.
My support is tailored to the individual needs of each family and can include overnight postnatal care, with occasional daytime support available subject to availability. Alongside experienced newborn care, I offer emotional support, a listening ear and a safe space to explore any challenges you may be facing. I can also help with breastfeeding and bottle feeding, support your physical recovery, offer guidance on settling and soothing your baby, provide baby massage guidance, and take care of practical baby-related tasks so you can focus on your recovery and enjoying time with your baby.
I regularly support families across London, Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire. If you’re unsure whether I cover your area, please do get in touch. I will always do my best to accommodate your family’s needs whenever possible.
