About Me
Hi – I’m Emily, and I am a birth and postnatal Doula, supporting Mama’s through their pregnancy, birth(s), and fourth trimesters.
I truly believe that we deserve to feel held and supported throughout our pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys – It would be an honor to support you on your journey to becoming a Mama.
What can I offer you?
- Support you throughout pregnancy
- Labour & fourth-trimester preparation
- Birth & postpartum support
- Advocate for you
- Accompany you to appointments
- Discuss and help you write your birth preferences
And so much more!
A little about me, I was born and raised on a quaint, little farm on the South Coast. I moved to Dorset in my teenage years, established roots, and began my own family here.
I have a BSc in Psychology & MSc in Forensic Psychology and have a big interest in counselling psychology, the psychology of trauma, developmental psychology, attachment theory, and the overall importance of emotional and mental well-being. I have lots of experience working in trauma support and advocacy, particularly in the violence against women and girls sector.
I also offer trauma-informed support to women who have experienced trauma or a previous traumatic birth, in those cases, I will chat with you and create a bespoke package offering you some more tailored support specific to what you might need.
I also offer therapeutic support sessions, aimed to empower you after the trauma you have experienced. Trauma processing takes time and often takes a back seat whilst you are caring for a baby. These sessions enable you to take the time to centre yourself, debrief, and or discuss some of the feelings you’d like to process.
- These sessions are available for both partners who might like to utilise these sessions before having their next baby.
- Or women and partners who have had their baby and are looking to debrief.
- These sessions might also be used by women who are fearing pregnancy & birth, and would like to discuss these topics in a safe space.
If you’d like more details please get in touch,
