About Me
I have been supporting families as a postnatal doula since 2021 and trained as an NCT birth doula in 2022. I am a recognised postnatal doula and a mentored birth doula with Doula UK.
I feel passionate about supporting people antenatally, during labour, birth and the 4th trimester. I am able to support you throughout your pregnancy, labour, birth and the 4th trimester. I can help you become informed and prepared for each stage of your journey by providing practical, informational, physical and emotional support to you and your family.
POSTNATAL SUPPORT
Those first few weeks with a newborn are a very special time and it’s an opportunity for you to heal and also to bond as a family. As a postnatal doula it’s my role to nurture and support you and your family during this special time. All of my 3 postnatal experiences were completely different from each other but taught me that a newborn has a huge impact on a family each time. Preparation and support both antenatally and postnatally can be extremely beneficial for a positive postnatal experience during that 4th trimester. I offer practical, emotional, physical and informational support in those early weeks that could include:
- Support with feeding, in whichever way you choose.
- Debriefing the birth – having someone around to give you space to debrief and talk about your experience can be very beneficial.
- Practically I can grab some shopping, hold baby whilst you shower or eat, prepare you a meal or snack, come along with you to appointments.
- Informationally I am well connected with local services and support networks and can guide you in the right direction if needed.I have up to date resources on anything baby related e.g.: feeding, sleeping.
- I also offer a postnatal planning service where you can plan what you would like your 4th trimester to look like.
- I also offer overnight support where I can enable you to catch up on some much needed sleep.
BIRTH SUPPORT
I will support you and your family for the duration of your labour and birth in whichever way you would like me to. I offer emotional, physical, practical and informational support to women and birthing people along with their partners in having a positive birth experience. I create a safe space for birthing people to relax and feel comfortable throughout their labour and birth. My package includes antenatal sessions where we discuss labour and birth in preparation for your birth. I am on call for you from 38 weeks until your baby is born.
I live in Sidcup with my husband and 3 children and am well connected in the area to be able to signpost you to related services in and around Kent and SE London. I love eating good food and being with family and friends. I love to laugh and socialise but also enjoy a good Netflix binge on the sofa next to my husband (with snacks!).
Please visit my website or give me a call to discuss my services and packages, free of charge.

Testimonials
“Emma was a reassuring presence at my birth. She helped with both the practical elements: filling the pool and creating ambience, and also the more caring ones: making sure I was as comfortable as possible. I also really appreciated having someone I could call/whatsapp prior to birth. She fully understood our birth preferences and talking them through with her made me feel heard and empowered, leading to a very smooth and positive birth experience.” Julia & Simon
“From the perspective of an expat with a limited support network for the birth of my first baby, and for the recovery journey thereafter, I have greatly appreciated Emma’s help. She has a calming and caring attitude which helped me build the confidence I can do this. You need that as a first time Mum because chances are you might be freaking out while trying to understand your baby’s needs. She’s super helpful to bounce off ideas about care for the baby (when in double, discuss with Emma was my approach) and a great eye for what needs doing around the house when I was not able to. She’s very patient, fun to talk to and professional. Highly recommend!” Zuzana
“Lovely to have that constant presence and having her check in all the time. Felt like I had a friend, very professional, really perceptive, knew what needed doing” C&P
“Loved her, got on really well and exactly what I needed. Great at listening, great initiative, down to earth, she was our angel” E&W
“Emma provided some great day and night support for us during a difficult time. We have a six week old baby and Emma was really caring with her (and us!), calm and patient. She brought a positive energy with her too which really helped. We would totally recommend her to others.” Georgina & David
