Based in north Essex, I live with my two young daughters and my partner just outside of Colchester. Since my girls were born I have felt all the emotions, experienced the highs and lows that come with breastfeeding, the sleepless nights, and the fierce maternal love and protectiveness that comes with having a newborn.

Settling into life with a newborn whether it is your first, second or third baby can feel daunting and overwhelming at times. As a postnatal doula my job is to offer a non-judgmental listening ear, be your cheerleader, and encourage you to trust in your instincts as parents. 

I describe my approach as being a kind of sister figure to you - walking beside you and being a steady presence in this special time. 

My support may look different on each day I work with you, depending on what you need in that moment:

I can provide advice and information, helping put your mind at ease while supporting you with the physical and mental load of parenthood. You might need a nap or time to take a bath or make some phone calls. You may want to advice with feeding and as a trained infant feeding coach I can support you with any questions you may have and tips for a successful feeding journey however that may look for your family. I can look after other children if you need some time to feed baby, or you may want to talk through your birth story or how you are feeling in that moment. I can prepare snacks and ensure you have a hot drink and finish it!
