With over 10 years working in birth, I support birthing women and people and their families across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. I work as a continuum doula, offering pregnancy, birth and postnatal support in whatever combination is right for each family.

Continuity is at the heart of my work. Whether I support you through pregnancy and birth, and continue into the postnatal period, or meet you after your baby is born, I bring the same woman or person centred approach throughout: listening carefully, building trust and offering support that responds to your individual circumstances.

Birth as a rite of passage, and my role is to support you to remain connected to yourself, trust your own wisdom and feel able to make choices that are right for you. I don't come with a script for how your birth should unfold. Instead, I offer experienced, personalised support that meets you where you are and adapts as your journey unfolds.

I trained as a HypnoBirthing Practitioner in 2014 and as a doula with BirthBliss Academy in 2018. I am now a BirthBliss Coach, Doula UK Mentor and Doula UK Area Representative for Buckinghamshire. I am always engaged in continued professional development because I am passionate about birth, women's health and understanding more about how I can support the people who place their trust in me.

Antenatal, Birth & Postnatal Support

Antenatal

During pregnancy, we'll explore what matters to you, your hopes and any concerns you may have, while preparing for the realities of birth and early parenthood. My approach draws on my experience, training and a range of practical and supportive tools, always shaped around you rather than a prescribed way of preparing for birth.

Birth

During labour, I offer continuous emotional and practical support for you and your birth partner. I have particular experience supporting home birth, while wholeheartedly supporting families wherever birth happens, including when plans change along the way.

Postnatal

After birth, I remain alongside you as you recover, integrate your experience and adjust to life with your baby. The postnatal period is a time of physical, emotional and personal change, and my support is shaped around what you and your family need as you find your way through it. Every postnatal client is offered a debrief, creating space to reflect and acknowledge this significant transition. I also offer Closing the Bones during our final session together, honouring your body and soul journey through ceremony and ritual.

Supporting Different Journeys

Every family's circumstances are different. I have experience supporting:

  • Home birth, including supporting home birth outside of local guidance and when plans change
  • VBAC and physiological breech birth
  • Birth following previous birth trauma or loss
  • Changes from a planned physiological birth to caesarean birth
  • Neurodivergent parents, including autistic, ADHD and AuDHD parents
  • Parents experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges
  • Disabled parents
  • LGBTQIA+ families
  • Survivors of abuse and sexual trauma
  • Families incorporating cultural, religious or spiritual traditions into their birth

I also bring my experience as a Women's Health Doula to my wider work with women through significant transitions and different seasons of life.

You don't need to have a particular type of support in mind before getting in touch. Whether you're looking for antenatal preparation, birth support, postnatal care, or a combination of these, we can explore what would feel right for you and your family.

My hope is that every family I support feels heard, respected and able to look back on their birth and early postnatal journey knowing they were supported to make the choices that were right for them. Birth is a rite of passage that stays with us long after the day our baby is born, and the postnatal period is part of that transformation too. It is a privilege to walk alongside families through these transitions.

If my approach resonates with you, I'd love to hear your story. You can find out more about my work on my website, and if you feel we're the right fit, get in touch so we can have a chat to explore how I may support you.
