About Me
Hello, I’m Jane and I am Hypnobirthing Practitioner and a Birth Doula working in Royston, Baldock, Letchworth, Biggleswade, Stevenage and Cambridge, but also wide across Beds, Cambs, Essex, Herts and North London.
I live with my husband and two daughters, Ruby and Jessica, who were born in 2008 and 2010. I also have three godchildren! 😊
The birth of my youngest daughter fundamentally changed the course of my life and put me on the path to empower, nurture and support pregnant women and their birth partners, through what I believe to be one of the most special experiences in life.
Why choose me?
Experience – having taught Hypnobirthing and supported births as a Doula for quite some time, I’ve had the privilege of supporting all types of births in all settings over the years. This includes; homebirth, hospital birth – midwifery led unit, delivery units and theatre. I have taught and supported an array of medical professionals and supported families who have chosen to VBAC, have an induction, or vaginal breech birth, or have experienced previous birth trauma, and those who are welcoming their rainbow babies.
Feedback – Here are just some words from my clients;
“We approached Jane as we were hoping for a positive birth experience after two previous traumatic births. Jane has such a friendly, open, caring nature that we knew we were in good hands from our first phone contact. We called her when my surges started and despite having just received tragic news she came straight to meet us at the hospital. She was a calm and nurturing presence throughout our labour, gently coaching me through when I thought I wasn’t going to manage. To have her at the birth truly felt like an honour. Our birth was a magical healing experience for us. Our son is such a calm and relaxed baby and I believe this is a result of his calm and relaxed birth. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jane, she is a very special lady. Words can’t actually express the gratitude we feel”. – Louise, Steeple Morden.
“We asked Jane to be our doula at the home birth of our second baby… It was the best decision we made. The minute she arrived we felt instantly more safe, supported and cared for. Jane helped us with everything from setting up the room, supporting us with each important decision and offering the most amazing words of encouragement during labour. We couldn’t have wished for a better doula”. – Megan, Henlow.
“We asked Jane to be our doula and thank goodness we did!
She came over with a bag of amazing things to help during birth. We were told there were no rooms in the birthing centre, but Jane made sure we were just where we wanted to be. She stayed by my side for over 48 hours! My partner could sleep and get something to eat and I still had someone there. She was brilliant when the midwife was busy. She was amazing! I would pay double if we were to have another baby and my daughter is so so so happy and calm. I have made a friend for life”– Caroline, Therfield
“Not only do I believe that Jane made a difference to the support and care my partner received, but she supported me emotionally throughout my partner’s labour and looked after us a couple. I strongly recommend every couple to seek the support of a doula, and Jane was incredible”.– Alessandro, Letchworth
“I’m so very fortunate that all the practice we put in from everything Jane taught us worked and our birth went exactly according to plan. Jane’s support as a doula was wonderful and invaluable! I’m so glad we did the hypnobirthing and had a doula. This birth was quite healing. The midwives are all talking about it as one of the nicest homebirths attended for a while apparently. I’m so proud and pleased and my baby is a joy! Jane, thank you for everything!”. – Sarina, Biggleswade
