Birth Doula & Postnatal Doula

By your side throughout your pregnancy, birth & postnatal journey.

Hello, and congratulations on your journey to parenthood.
I’m a mum to two wonderful daughters, based in Wellington, Somerset, and I’m passionate about supporting families through pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum period with compassion, warmth and respect.

My approach is always non-judgmental, evidence-based and completely tailored to you, your family and your choices. I am deeply passionate about physiological birth and about supporting families who are exploring “outside of guidelines” plans. I believe that informed choice, autonomy and respectful care should sit at the heart of every birth, and I am committed to helping you understand your options so you can make decisions that feel right for you.

As a birth doula, I offer emotional, physical and informative support throughout pregnancy, labour and birth. Whether you’re planning a home birth, birth centre birth or hospital birth, I will be by your side, offering reassurance, practical guidance and steady support. I work closely with the local NHS Home Birth Teams and Healthcare Trusts and value collaborative, respectful relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure you feel fully supported and advocated for.

Together, we will build a strong, trusting relationship and work through a comprehensive antenatal education package. We will explore your boundaries, preferences and options so you feel confident in giving informed consent at every stage.

We can prepare your birth preferences in depth, including locations, care options and different birth scenarios, creating plans A, B, C and D so you feel prepared and supported whatever path your birth takes. My role is to ensure your wishes are heard, your voice is respected and you feel empowered in your choices, including when your plans sit outside standard guidelines.

We will also discuss your postnatal plans, including feeding education and emotional preparation for life with a new baby. I am always here as a sounding board for the questions, worries and thoughts that naturally arise during pregnancy.

As a postnatal doula and Breastfeeding Peer Supporter, I focus on nurturing and supporting you as you adjust to life with your baby. This can include practical help with feeding, newborn care, gentle household support, and emotional reassurance during those early, often sleep-deprived weeks. I’m also very happy to be the person you message in the middle of the night with “Is this normal?!” questions.

My aim is to create a calm, supportive environment where you, your partner and your family feel safe, respected and truly cared for. I want you to look back on your birth and postnatal experience feeling proud, confident and held.

I would love to connect with you and support you on this journey.

"As soon as I spoke with Jen, I felt we connected and that she was everything I needed for support with my home birth after c-section. Jen is so passionate about her work and very knowledgeable which helps with any decisions you may have to make along the way." - Hannah
