If you’re looking for a calm, nurturing and woman-centred approach to your birth, I’m here to support you.
I bring a warm and friendly approach to my doula work with a deep belief in the wisdom, strength and innate capacity of women. My journey as a doula began through yoga. With over a decade of experience teaching pregnancy and postnatal yoga. I have spent many years supporting women through the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, birth and early motherhood. I felt called to take this work further after I had my daughter and trained as a doula with Nurturing Birth so that I could offer more continuous and holistic support.
As your doula, my role is to listen to you, support you and help you feel informed, confident and held in your choices. Whether you are planning a home birth, a medically assisted birth, a caesarean or something in between, I offer a calm, non-judgemental presence and walk alongside you as you navigate your way through this transitional time.
I believe birth is powerful, deeply individual and life-changing. My hope is that you feel heard, respected and completely supported as you prepare to meet your baby and step into this new chapter of your life.
I also offer nurturing, woman-centred postnatal support. The early weeks and months of motherhood can be beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting and transformative all at once. I’m here to support you as you find your way through your transition into motherhood. I will help you to nourish yourself, rest, recover and make space for those precious early moments of bonding with your baby.
Postnatal support can be whatever you need it to be on the day. I can help you get some much-needed rest, prepare nourishing meals, stock the freezer, make you a cup of tea while you take a shower or bath, help with light household tasks, or simply sit and listen. I can also offer gentle breathwork, gentle yoga-inspired practices and calming tools to support your recovery and wellbeing.
Above all, I want you to feel cared for as you care for your baby. There is no one right way to give birth or become a mother, and I’m here to support you without judgement, wherever you are on your journey.
If you’re looking for a birth or postnatal doula or simply want some support to explore your options and work out what feels right for you, I’d love to hear from you.
