I live in Hackney, where I've spent the vast majority of my life. I enjoy internet rabbit holes, watching TV, tending to my plant and cat children and snacking on cheese. I also enjoy absolutely inhaling as much knowledge around pregnancy and birth as I can.
Birth work has always had a special place in my heart. Multiple family members had been birth workers before I came along, and it felt like something that was woven into me from the start.
After a few years working as a nanny, then a handpoke tattoo artist, I heeded the call and made the leap to become a doula. I am honoured to be helping families have the best beginnings possible, especially those forced into margins nobody deserves.
Everyone's personal history and preferences are different. I will approach you as an individual, get to know you and work collaboratively to make this transitional time as gentle as possible, even the tough bits. Each individual deserves nothing but full autonomy and access to informed choices, my aim is to give you the evidence based information you need to do so, as well as drawing from my education and experience to support you emotionally and physically.
When providing support I will do all of the above as well as giving helpful evidence based suggestions and provide comfort measures in line with your preferences.
I'm proud to welcome everyone and am especially interested in supporting clients who identify with any combination of being LGBTQIA+, Disabled or Neurodivergent. I aim to provide personalised, compassionate, informative and affirming support to you no matter your needs and choices as you navigate your journey.
Being Trans in a predominantly cis-heteronormative space is hard. If you identify as anything other than cis, I can serve as a gatekeeper of your personal and emotional space so you don't have to correct or educate anyone while you have a more pressing task at hand- building your family.
