I live in Poynton, East Cheshire and cover areas within 1 hours driving distance of my home. These include Cheshire, South Manchester, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
Other services:
I teach KG Hypnobirthing which can be incorporated into birth preparation sessions. In addition I offer stand-alone birth preparation classes. I have also trained in Rebozo techniques and 'Closing the bones'; a warming and nurturing postnatal abdomen and hip massage to restore pelvic stability, release stored emotion, aid relaxation and a time to honour your body for all it has achieved. I have experience with breastfeeding, 4th trimester and babywearing.

About Me
Firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy and for considering a doula to support you on this journey. Secondly, about me. My name is Kate, and I am a recognised Birth and Postnatal Doula living in Poynton, Cheshire with my husband, three children and crazy Beagle. I am a huge birth geek after experiencing three wonderful, and very different, births myself. Outside of my birth world, I love baking, drinking tea, vintage china, having adventures with my children, music, dancing and laughing lots. As your doula, I will support you through pregnancy to help you work towards the best possible birth for you. I will support you in your choices no matter what kind of birth you are planning; whether you choose a caesarean birth, hospital birth or home birth. I will be your advocate and provide you with evidence based information so that you can feel empowered in making the right decision for you and your baby. I will be at the end of the phone if you need to talk or sound something out. My role as a doula is flexible, and my support packages can be tailored to your needs.
