About Me
I’m mum to George, Max, and Lucy, and I live with my husband and our family in a village near St Ives, Cambridgeshire. We are a blended family, and together we are step-parents, adoptive parents, and biological parents.
I’m a birth and postnatal doula, parent educator, and doula trainer, and I’ve been supporting families since qualifying in 2012.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting families through many different birth experiences, including home birth, hospital birth, birth centre birth, water birth, caesarean birth, twin birth, and hypnobirthing journeys. My role is never to tell you what your birth should look like, but to support your choices, help you feel informed, and ensure you feel heard, respected, and cared for throughout.
Pregnancy, Birth & Postnatal Support
My greatest passion is supporting families not only through birth, but through the transition into parenthood.
The early days with a new baby can feel beautiful, emotional, intense, and overwhelming all at once. I offer calm, evidence-based support to help families feel more confident and connected during this stage.
My birth support includes:
Birth preparation and antenatal sessions
Exploring your birth preferences and options.
Evidence-based information to support informed decision making
Emotional and practical support during pregnancy.
Continuous support throughout labour and birth.
Support for partners and the whole family.
Hypnobirthing-informed support and calming techniques.
Advocacy and helping you feel heard and respected
Creating a calm, nurturing environment during labour and birth
Immediate postnatal support after your baby arrives
My postnatal support includes:
Postpartum Planning
Understanding your baby’s cues and preverbal communication
Evidence-based infant sleep support
Feeding support, including breastfeeding and the journey from milk to solids
Gentle parenting approaches
Brain development (developmental leaps), Toddler Behwviour and Sibling Support.
Emotional support for the whole family
I believe parents know their children better than anyone. Sometimes they simply need reassurance, space to be heard, and trusted support beside them.
Workshops & Education
Alongside one-to-one support, I run private sessions and group workshops covering birth preparation, postpartum recovery, infant sleep, breastfeeding, weaning, toddler development, and parenting.
I love making evidence-based information feel accessible, practical, and empowering - especially in a world where parenting advice can often feel overwhelming or conflicting.
Supporting New Doulas
Since March 2020, I have also been facilitating doula preparation training for new doulas through Developing Doulas.
This work is incredibly meaningful to me. Supporting future doulas as they step into this role allows me to help create even more compassionate, informed support for families.
My Experience
I’m a breastfeeding peer supporter with a particular interest in tongue tie. I spent several months supporting our local IBCLC, in her Tongue Tie Clinic, helping families navigate feeding challenges.
Since becoming a mother in 2007, I’ve been on my own deep learning journey around birth, breastfeeding, child development, and parenting — and that lived experience shapes the way I support others today.
My Approach
I care deeply about helping families feel confident to trust their own instincts.
There is no single “right” way to birth or parent. Every family is different, every baby is different, and every journey deserves respect.
Whether you’re planning the birth you’ve always hoped for, navigating unexpected changes, adjusting to life with a newborn, or finding your feet as parents, I’m here to offer steady, compassionate support.
Working Together
The heart of my work is continuity of care - being a familiar, trusted presence during the final weeks of pregnancy and the early weeks of parenthood.
I’d love to hear your hopes for your baby’s birthday and your postpartum and explore how I can support your family.
