Hello! My name is Katie, thank you so much for following up on my profile. I hope you'll find everything you need in my description but if you do have further inquires please do email me for more information. I wish you well and all my best wishes for the future.
In 2024 I trained with Developing Doulas and since then I have gained so much knowledge in the birth world, I suppose I could call myself a bit of a birth nerd! But, not only am I obsessed with everything perinatal and in between I'm also passionate about supporting families in the early years of babyhood to around the age of 3-4. My services doesn't stop at birth and postnatal, but continues on into those challenging times. You'll find me volunteering at my local baby classes giving lots of information and care.
Becoming a Mother has definitely been a roller coaster but I wouldn't have it any other way. Having the experience of birth myself opened up the Doula world and when I found out who a Doula is and what good they can do I fell head over heels in love. Being that maternal soul, the role of a Doula comes naturally to me, anyone that knows me well will say that I am kind and compassionate and very grounded and probably a bit goofy at times! I have the ability to stand up to what I know is right, and at the appropriate times can be that fierce mama bear you may need. Being someone who is rather good at social skills, working alongside medical staff and family members is something I can navigate quite well. It would be an absolute honor to be a part in your birthing experience, I am so eternally grateful to be able to say this is what I do for a living; 100% does not feel like a job! Right at the bottom I've listed my CPDs, I will continue to attend any workshops of interest and always try to update this list.
PRENATAL- This can be purchased for a per hour rate that starts at £18. I've listed down below possible reasons for support which I can offer you.
- Conception support whether IVF, Surrogacy or naturally
- Attendance to hospital appointments
- A helping hand for creating your birth plan and/or postnatal plan
- General house visits for questions, problem solving, sign posting etc
- Hospital stay preparation (information about the maternity hospital system)
- Deep clean for "nesting"
- Free house visits for women past 42 weeks
BIRTH PACKAGE- From the moment your labour starts I will be with you every step of the way. For this service I offer a package rate of £750 which includes 9 hours of face to face time for anything prenatal or postnatal (examples above and below) plus ongoing whatsapp care from 37 weeks of pregnancy to 2 weeks postnatal.
POSTNATAL- This period of support can start from the moment your baby has their first breath to roughly around 6-8 weeks however the support I can offer doesn't have a limit on age, toddlers and all! This is also purchased starting at £18 per hour and I've listed below examples of what I can offer you during this period of time.
- Birth reflection
- Sign posting for further care
- Gentle care for you and your baby
- Care for siblings and pets
- Cooking and cleaning
- Household chores
- Shopping and general errands
REMOTE DOULA SUPPORT- Most of the above can still be achieved via phone or messaging especially if you are only looking for specific care such as birth/postnatal planning. This is not a downgrade in quality of care only another option for you to consider, especially if you have barriers. 30 mins over the phone whether its whatsapp or zoom is only £8. One week of remote support (including whatsapp and zoom) starts at £45. This one week package is completely on your terms so whenever you'd need your Doula that care is a phone call away.
Thank you so much for reading and I do hope to hear from you in the near future. Please contact me via email to arrange your free discovery call.
